These guys do everything they can to keep me on the road. I dont have a car and use my bike to commute to work, so they work really hard to get it done fast. Last month I was hit by a car no more than a week after picking up a new bike, and they fixed the damage for FREE. I'm currently looking for a new apartment but I dont want to move far from this place.
stopped in with my jogging stroller with a flat tire and two small kids in tow, and they not only let me use their pump, they also helped me fix an issue with my stroller at no cost. I was very impressed with their service, and plan to go there again.
I was in this shop on Saturday to get my bike fixed. I was hesitant to go here after reading some of the other reviews, but a friend recommended it so we went after our ride. The store was fairly busy, but then again it was a Saturday so I guess I shouldn't complain about waiting a few minutes for service. They have a service entrance on the side of the building that made getting my bike in the store pretty easy. There is parking on the street and in the lot behind the store too, but the was full when I was there (again, it was a weekend so I guess I can't be too upset). While I was waiting I walked around. They had a fairly good selection of new bikes as well as the repair business, the most expensive bike was $2500, but most were in the $200-600 range. Average I guess. The staff was helpful and friendly, they did my repair while I waited and the cost was about half of what I would usually pay at the shop near my home. I guess there is less overhead expenses here as opposed to some of the downtown stores, but that's probably the economics professor in me talking. I liked that all of the repair work was done in plain sight. I may just be anal but I don't like it when places take my things "in the back" where I cant see whats going on. Plus you can ask questions while they work on your bike (does that make me a nerd?) It seemed to be mostly a family bike store; there were a lot of tandems and kids bikes, but they also had road, mountain, and several of those recumbent bikes. Everyone else shopping there seemed pleased. This is a good bike shop. I don't have any complaints, there were no gimmicks, and it was all fairly straight forward. I will definitely go back.
They fixed my bike much faster than I expected and were very welcoming on my pick up visit.
Informative staff, comfortable environment, feels great to stay and shop local, and still get exactly what we want. We'll be back.
The woman who assisted me was very knowledgable and helpful.
I've always had great service here. I'm not expecting the employees to treat me like their best friend and I've never tried to jack the store for some free service. I just expect good work done on my bike and that's what I always get.
I purchased one of their rental bikes late spring. I was pleased with the price and the service I received. They have an excellent parts selection (better than I have seen at more well know places such as Higher Gear and Turin, both of which I like and patronize).
