Wish you don't have to go through cancellation – I wish i could give a 0 star rating. Me and my wife paid thousands in membership and personal training sessions to this Golds gym. When it was the time of cancellation, i sent an email to the Manager Suzzane 2 weeks before and also told my personal trainer Saburi a month before. Also i walked in to the gym and told in personal to those guys sitting behind the reception area he asked me to send email to Tina which is did. I also told Mike the possibility of moving when i took the personal training sessions. but they charged 112 $ for me also charges 120 $ with auto pay account that i signed. You thought walstreet is bad ???? these guys are cheaper than walstreet. Most disturbing thing is that when you join they lie straight at your face that if you are moving for job reasons you don't owe anything! I thought Americans are honest!
WILL NEVER JOIN A GOLDS GYM AGAIN!!
Overcrowded – The gym has a lot of ammeneties and classes that you can take but the place is over crowded. To make it worse they offer discounts for more people to join. Good luck getting a cardio machine upstairs after 4pm or being able to use the free weights. There is no way that I would change in the locker rooms. The sauna is disgusting and the locker rooms are never cleaned. They do buy new equiptment pretty often and they have a good variety of machines.
Despite its Hollywood connections, this franchise's focus is on pumping iron, not newfangled razzle-dazzle. – In Short
The Terminator and the Incredible Hulk (aka Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno) lifted weights at the gym's Venice, California, flagship years ago, but even today, customers frequenting charter locations are bound to encounter serious muscle. Take note: The boys with bulging biceps are the mascots, not the majority. Gold's generally offers Spinning, aerobics and kickboxing classes, yet weight-training remains the core of the program. Dumbbells and barbells, not spa-like amenities, are the attractions that draw the beef-heads in droves.
