Thanks so much, Susan Cole Foster and the ladies at Bridal Couture for taking such good care of us the past few years! (And this year was no different!)
We heard about your store from a friend and decided to get a prom tuxedo from you as we had a bad experience with the place that he go it at last year. It was the best fitting tuxedo he has ever had. We will definitely be back next year.
I came in to Bridal Couture looking for a wedding gown that wasn't too expensive because I had already purchased a wedding gown several years back with my mom and with things happening in my life (such as my mom passing away). The wedding was postponed. I took the original wedding gown to another seamstress to have her look at it, as I had gained weight and the gown no longer zipped. I desperately wanted to wear it since it was a purchase that my mom and I made together. It had sentimental value to me. Since that seamstress said it was impossible, I resigned myself to purchasing another dress. I started trying on dresses at Bridal Couture and found several reasonable ones that I liked but the sales lady that was helping me began inquiring about different things, and thus, I felt comfortable opening up to her that I actually already had a gown in the car that I would really love to wear but I was told by another seamstress that it could not be altered to fit. She understood my need to include the gown purchased with my mom in my wedding and instead of just trying to sell me a new gown, she told me to bring the gown in and she would see what they could do. I did and she said they could definitely alter it to fit me. I was so happy. The best part is, they did make it fit perfectly! I ended up getting 3 bridesmaids and my tuxedos at this shop. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to have someone that listened to me and didn't just try to sell me a gown. I have nothing but good things to say about their alterations department and the salesperson that helped me.
I got so many compliments on my homecoming gown. People were literally walking across the room to ask me where I got it. I had no doubt where I was going back for prom.
I just wanted to thank you for the work you did on my daughters prom dress. After SEVEN trips to a shop in Kirkwood where her dress was purchased and altered, her dress was an ill-fitted mess and the Kirkwood shop insisted if they let out the side seams (after taking them in and out two times already and compromising the fabric and also causing the satin to feather) it should have fit better! We did not let them do any more work after that. My daughter's friend, Chelsea Dickinson was picking up her dress from your shop and my daughter went with her to your shop and brought her dress along... just in case someone at your shop could have a look at it. One of the employees there did look at it (sorry I do not know the woman's name :( ) and made the simple correction of moving a HOOK!.... and it made a world of difference! My daughter looked stunning in her dress thanks to the expert skills of the seamstress there! :) THANK YOU!
I can't thank you guys enough for doing such a wonderful job on my wife's gown. It was perfect on her.
I have gotten my gowns here for every prom and homecoming (8 times) I won't go anywhere else! I will be back for my wedding someday.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! – I honestly wish I could give less than 1 star. I went to Bridal Couture for one of my bridesmaid dresses for my wedding. I am very thankful that I did not have to get my dress or the rest of the bridesmaid dresses there!! I purchased the rest in Chicago, but had to purchase the last one here where my bridesmaid was located. I made an appointment back in September to look at dresses and purchase one. When we got there we were pointed to the dresses and that was it. No one asked us any questions, or helped out out in the slightest. We even had to find the dressing room, and pins the dress ourselves!! When we were ready to purchase the dress, the girl behind the counter was very confused. We had to ask her to pay for the dress, an estimate of when it would be coming in, and ask for them to call us when it was ready (duh how would we know it was in??). She didn't know much, and said it could take up to 6 months (which was longer than my wedding gown took). After waiting 7 months to hear from them, and still not hearing a single thing, I called them. The manager was EXTREMELY rude and nasty with me and told me it was my fault that I didn't give the girl my number, and that the number we gave them didn't work the ONE TIME they tried calling it. The number was valid, it was my bridesmaid's number, and i speak to her frequently over the phone (including the week "they called"). Instead of apologizing about the situation she got nasty with me telling me she didn't know what my problem was and that I shouldn't care because my wedding was 3 months away. The problem was not that it was too close to the wedding, the problem was that the paid in full dress came in in December and we were not contacted. It was just sitting in their shop for 4 MONTHS, and no one thought to try and contact the buyer a second time!! Instead of being nice about it, she was completely rude and disrespectful , yelling at me to the point where I eventually had to hang up on her. I highly regret stepping foot in this shop, and if i could re-do it, i would go to Elegant Brides in Edwardsville. I would NOT RECOMMEND this store for any woman!! Whether its for prom, or a wedding, these days are way too big in a woman's life to have some woman try ruin it for you!!
