Poor Product and Customer Service – The mirror was purchased August 21st, 2009 and I have the receipt. Cost $130.

I appreciate your response to this matter. It seems to me that Garden Ridge no longer stands behind the products sold nor is the quality and workmanship meant to last.

I have several pieces of heavy artwork and mirrors that have been hanging on walls from 1-15 years (several are from Garden Ridge). I would expect any mirror that I purchase to hold up to the trip home in the package it was purchased in and installed correctly stay together. I understand that you cannot guarantee control over installation. The mirror did not fall off the wall hanger and the wire did not break (my installation). The attached hanger that came on the mirror came off the mirror frame (your product).

I am not asking for my money back. I spent days shopping for this item and would like it replaced. It is clear that Garden Ridge no longer stands behind the items sold in it's stores nor really cares about me as a customer.

Good luck with all your future endeavors!

That is correct, we can't assist you further. We do not offer or sell extended warranties of any kind.

Per the policy on your receipt, and the policy we post at every register, we can only offer assistance within 60 days (as we have no control over installation or the use of any product).

Thanks

Subject: RE: Heavy Mirror Hanger Broken

I would like to clarify that the piece that came off the mirror and caused it to fall was part of the mirror when I purchased it from Garden Ridge. Please review the pictures to understand that the frame is not strong enough to hold the hanger piece that came on the mirror used to hang on the wall.

I would like to clarify that I understand your response.

Under no circumstances does:

1. Garden Ridge warrant any items purchased from their stores for defects after 60 days from the purchase date?

2. Garden Ridge return, exchange or replace any items 60 days from the purchase date for defects in material, workmanship, etc.?

3. Garden Ridge return, replace, or repair any item that breaks after 60 days from the date of purchase?

Thank you,

PHYSICALY ASSAULTED BY ASSITANT MANAGER IN STORE AT KATY FREEWAY – On May 22,08 a friend and I went to Garden Ridge on Katy Frwy in Houston. All was great until we went to check out.One of the items from the clearence isle rang up incorrectly.I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager in the store. After about 20 minutes an assistant manager arrived. This lady was very rude and told me basically that she thought that I had put the sale sticker on this item,by switching it fom another item.I was very insulted.I told her that this was completely false and that if she would look at the sale sticker she would realize that if I had removed this sticker you would be able to see some kind of tear and that wasn't the case. She picked up the item in question on started to remove the sticker. This really made me angry and I told her to leave the sticker in place.I was assured by her that I would not be getting the sale price.I told her that was fine,I wanted her boss's name and I was going to take a picture of the sales sticker on the item. She then grabbed the item and started to leave.I reached out and grabbed the item and told her that I still wanted to purchase this item.AT THIS TIME THE ASSISTANT MANAGER GRABBED MY ARM AND YANKED ME TO HER AND YELLED AT ME IN FRONT OF OTHER SHOPPERS THAT I WAS NOT GETTING THE SALES PRICE.I YANKED MY ARM OUT OF HER GRASP AND TOLD HER FINE BUT I STILL WANTED IT.THEN SHE PROCEDED TO PUSH ME TO THE GROUND AND TELL ME TO GET OUT OF THE STORE OR SHE WOULD CALL THE POLICE.I TOLD HER TO PLEASE CALL THE POLICE AS I WOULD BE FILING ASSAULT CHARGES AGAINST HER AND SHE WALKED OVER TO THE MERCHANDISE AND REMOVED THE SALES STICKER AND SAID NOW YOU CAN HAVE THE ITEM.I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAD JUST HAPPENED.NEEDLESS TO SAY I FILED CHARGES AGAINST HER AND I AM SPEAKING WITH AN ATTORNEY.Luckily there were many witness that were as taken a back at the display of anger and violance that 5 different individuals stayed with me and waited to give the police an account of what they had just witnessed.

Do NOT stand behind Mechandise – My husband & I bought painted wooden rocking chairs from Garden Ridge. Within two weeks the paint begin to come off on both chairs. We paid $80.00 for each chair. We took the chairs back to Garden Ridge. The manager was rude. He stated that they were damaged and he did not take back damaged merchandise. They were not damaged, but defective! He would not take the chairs back, because he said that he could not resell them! So please be careful because if something happens , they will not stand behind their merchandise.
