So-So – I have been going there for over 5 years...........
Made an Appt. for pedicure - When I walked in, my Manicurist was helping another customer....
I was put in a chair - for 20 minutes, I'm still soaking my feet - NO one came to explain anything????
I walked out - and will not return.
The Owner had pulled the Manicurist (intended for me) to finish Her (walk-in) Customer....
Definitely not good policy & not Nice -
I won't be back.
Manicure lasted a week with no chips, need I say more! – I have only been to Parkview Nails on Studemont once, but that experience will keep me coming back! I recently got a "Lincoln Park After Dark" manicure for a round of holiday parties, a super-dark color that will not camouflage ANY chips. My manicure lasted an entire week before I got the first chip, whereas it usually only lasts a few days at other places! The staff is also very friendly, even remembering my name despite it being my first visit. Parkview Nails may not be the fanciest salon, but I will definitely come back for their friendly service, reasonable prices, and great manicures/pedicures!
Good manicures – I've been a few times to this place, and have enjoyed it very much. I was able to reserve a manicure a few hours earlier than the actual manicure was supposed to be, and they were able to fit me in. I've also walked in, and have been able to get a manicure. I enjoy the massages and was even given finger decorations free of cost. All in all, I've enjoyed it very much.
Very Good! – I won't go anywhere else for a manicure or pedicure. I love the result everytime I go to Parkview. The polish lasts longer than anywhere I have gone - usually looks great for at least 10 days! Prices are reasonable and I haven't ever been disappointed.
Great Salon – I've been to other salons and Parkview Nails definately stands out as one of the better salons in the West Grey area. Since going, I've not once had a bad experience with the technicians or the service they've provided. As far as I'm concerned they provide a prompt and solid service with great results.
Some manicuists ok, others are not – I believe this to be an ok place and it really depends on who you see. I have been going here for months now, and I'm generally happy with the service, but I think it could be better. I was not at all happy with my pedicure recently. She rushed it, and it was a bad job. She asked if I wanted the massage with lotion (usually standard) and then did each leg for only a minute massage. She rushed the painting, and I ended up with some at the end of my toes and NO TOP COAT was given. I was then asked to move across the floor after the pedicure with nothing on my feet to make room for her next customer while I waited at another table for my manicure. She also asked if I wanted to come back tomorrow for my manicure, like it couldn't be fit in, after she already had me sitting there for a pedicure, and I had already waited 20 minutes. It really depends on who you end up with! Beware.
Great nails – I have been going to Parkview Nails for about 10 months now based on a friend's recomendation, and I love it! I never feel rushed when I go. I have gotten solar nails here and they turned out great, but I usually just get a mani/pedi. Tran is the best-I always ask for her and she does a great job!! The spa pedicure is a great treat-it lasts about 45 min and is wonderful!! I'm not too sure what the previous poster paid (something like $50 for a pedicure??) but I've always paid $35. I will deifantely keep going here-I usually walk in and can be seen quickly.
WORST pedicure/manicure – I have been going to this salon since it opened it doors... very loyal one could say.
After my last experience this past weekend, I will never go back nor recommend the place to anyone. The salon has gone down hill for the past few years - now its unbearable! They pressure you to get the "spa" pedicure (which is nothing more than a regular pedicure except in a dirty "fancy" massage chair) then they rush you through the experience because they have others waiting in line. They even ask you to walk across the dirty floor barefoot after they have completed the pedicure so they can use that chair for some other poor victim. Normally one would think they would put a towel down for your bare feet - but no, they let your feet just sit on the dirty floor.
The pedicures are overpriced for the amount of work they do - or time they spend on you. I just spent $50 on the absolute WORST pedicure I have ever received! The place is dirty, they rush you and they are way overpriced for what you get! Don't waste your time or money - what kills me is the employees know me since I have been going there since they opened... and they still have the nerve to rush and do a substandard job.
