I was an out of town Bridesmaid and was given 3 dresses to choose from and told to call in and place my order. I spoke to a very kind consultant who took my order for “Gardenia” and my credit card and sent a confirmation email. Several months later I received "Camellia," the wrong dress. I did not realize until later that the email stated that "this email is to confirm your order and will be considered your electronic signature. Once confirmed your order will be considered complete..." It seems like an easy error as the codes for both dresses are just one number different. Although the email seemed to be a control process put in place to catch these types of errors it was ordered anyway without a follow-up to myself or the bride to confirm.
I used to do events and am now in the premium service industry, mistakes happen and are an opportunity to solve the problem and delight the customer. Unfortunately, this is where Brickhouse failed. I had to follow-up several times to get any type of answer, unanswered voicemails, etc. If the bride had notified me when the dresses came in that I did not have one (as I didn't confirm the email) I would have had time to place a rush order for the correct dress. The manager did try to get one rush ordered but was told it was not possible at this time. I requested to allow me to (1) return the dress, cleaned and unaltered after the wedding in exchange for the dress I ordered (2) pay to have the dress altered into a slim skirt (3) provide some sort of discount for my troubles which I could put towards altering the dress. I was told none of these options were possible and was offered additional lace if I wanted to try and have a seamstress re-create the dress I had originally ordered, at my own expense.
If you choose to use them be extra careful to check your orders as they are not able or willing to fix their errors once made.
A friend of mine suggested this place. I hesitated at first because it was about 45 minutes away from me! according to the navigation.
Even though with the location, it didn't stop me to give it a try.
I made an appointment the following day. The place is actually a good size with many dress selections. A friend of mine told me that it is important to start early to find the perfect wedding dress because it usually takes 5-7 months to get in. GUESS what? she was right. SO my suggestion, start early!
Anyways, we we're greeted politely. They get so packed during the weekend so if you are able to come in during the week, go for it!
We we're greeted kindly by the consultant and gave us some time to browse around the boutique. My mom and sister was with me and the boutique has a good amount of dresses to choose from compare to the other boutique I've been through.
Kace was my consultant! Very sweet and very helpful. After 6 tries, I quickly fell inlove with two dresses and got stuck trying to figure out which one I like the most.
But of course, with the help of my mom and sister and kace, I found the one! I'm lucky I didn't have to go to 5 different boutiques to find the one.
I found the one here :))))
I had a blast picking out my wedding gown. Everyone was very sweet and professional.
(posted) The atmosphere is wonderful & they have almost every high end designer that is out there. If you don't mind spending a pretty penny on your dress then this is definitely THE PLACE to shop on the north side of town.
Thank you for allowing me to have such a wonderful and memorable experience. Out of the five stores I went to this one was special thanks to you. Enjoy your big day, I know you will be a beautiful bride.
Many, many thanks to Starla and Yvette for all of their help with finding the perfect dress for me this past Saturday morning!
I LOVE Brickhouse Bridal. This was my first appointment to try on bridal gowns and it couldn't have been better! Yvette was my consultant and I can't recommend her enough! While I was worried about shopping on a Saturday and how busy it would be (which is was), she made me feel like it was all about me, my mom and my brother (who accompanied me). They let you pick 6 dresses initially by yourself and then the consultant will go off of what you picked, liked, and didn't like. After trying on my first few dresses, Yvette pulled an amazing Paloma Blanca dress for me, which ended up being my dream dress. While the style was completely opposite of what I had originally pictured myself in, she assured me that it fit my style, wedding theme and looked great. And to be sure she decked me out in a gorgeous belt, and necklace, of which I ordered both! She was so respectful of my budget and really took to heart what my mom as well as my brother had to say. The salon itself is gorgeous and so well organized. All of the consultants and managers that I spoke to were all incredibly helpful and reassuring. I received an email just a few days ago (about two weeks after ordering) to let me know of the expected date of arrival for my dress, which is almost 6 months from the day of ordering. I can't wait to see it and try it on again. Truly can't say enough good things about the salon, Yvette, and all of the consultants and managers at Brickhouse- amazing!
BB was the first store I had ever tried wedding dresses on at -- and it was definately the way to kick off the process. The store is new, clean, and the dresses are easy to look at and view. As mentioned by other reviewers, you are given 5 clips in the beginning to mark the first dresses you want to try on. You are on your own for this part of the process but after that my attendant was very attentive and very helpful. She (I unfortunately do not remember her name) was very easy to talk to but not overbearing. She helped me get in and out of the dresses, clip them all, and continued to bring me dresses that she thought I might like. Most of all, I loved the selection of dresses at this store. They had many more modern dresses (ie my style) than the other store I visited that day. While I found many dresses that were beautiful at BB, I just wasn't able to find "the" dress. I definitely recommend BB be on the list of "go-to" places for brides starting their dress shopping!
DEF recommend! Called them in a bind after a disaster at another place - Fit me in right away within hours!! I found my beautiful Pronovias dress in about 40 minutes!! :)) Everyone is super nice and really good at helping find what you are looking for - My budget was up to $2,000 and she picked about 11 dresses in that range. Designer labels in all sizes at a reasonable price - I also got my veil the same day. Check it out!
I bought my wedding dress there at a sample sale, after visiting several other boutiques. The rules of the sample sale was that you could try on 2 or 3 dresses at a time for a max of 30 minutes. I was one of the last ones to try on dresses (I stood in line for at least an hour), so they let me try on more dresses. I got a great deal: $400 for a $1300 dress. That left me plenty of money to do alterations on the hem & add sleeves and a different neckline :)
