My Friday Night Spot – This place is always good for my girls and I. The crowd is always different, the music is good the drinks are reasonable and the bar tenders are awesome!! If you want to just chill and drink go here... if you want to dance the night away go here. My girls and I have been going here for a few years and will definetly continue on..
I was not impressed. dj wasnt that great especially on tuesdays were its suppose to be dancehall/dub/reggae night. It was just lame people were leaving before us.
The DJ was Great!! – First time there was an awesome night for me and my friends. We wanted to try some place different so we went there.Besides the fact that their drinks were pricey and cover charge on a friday night was ten bucks, the dj was great!!He played everything we wanted to hear, and we couldnt stop dancing the whole night! The lounge is a bit small and gets packed, but when your having a good time you can care less!I enjoyed my time there and i look forward to going back soon!
What's the big deal? – I've been to this bar on a couple of occasions, but I have to say I don't see what the hype is about. The place is jam-packed with aloof hipsters, I found the DJ to be average at best, and the prices are on the high side. Granted, it's been awhile so perhaps it changed, but this place just seemed to be overhyped for what is an extremely average bar.
Spacious corner bar in West Town attracts crowds with late nights and one of the city's more casual dance floors. – The Scene
Blue is the definite motif, starting with the namesake, window-front neon star and carrying inside to the midnight blue-painted walls and thick navy drapes. The long, rectangular room is spare: three scallop-backed, circular booths by the entrance, a pool table midway, and dance floor in back. Exposed brick walls and dark-wood floors run throughout. Illumination comes mostly from blue neon and the dance floor's flashing lights, which streak across in an array of colors. The lengthy bar spans three-quarters of the west wall, leaving plenty of room to order premium concoctions, such as apple martinis and Jagerbombs (Jagermeister and Red Bull), or tap beers like Stella Artois and Blue Moon.
A modest neighborhood tavern in the early evening, Betty's throbs from midnight on, especially on weekends. DJs spin nightly with an emphasis on Billboard-oriented hip hop, inspiring mod, spiky-haired 20- and 30-somethings to bump and grind on the heaving dance floor.
This place rocks! – I've been here several times and have NEVER had a bad night. There's usually no cover until midnight, so if you come early, it's cheap and you can usually find a seat. It gets jumping around 12-1 and the crowd is very diverse and totally cool. There's a little bit for everyone and drinks are reasonable. Great music, especially if you like funk and trip-hop.
Too much fun! – Old school lovers take heart! There is little to no attitude and the music takes me back, let me tell ya. I've only been a few times, but am already telling people I know about it. I am so glad I found a place that caters to those of us who enjoy music that has some bass to it and not that high energy garbage found in most of todays clubs!
OFF THE HOOK!!!!! – Great place!!! Great Music!!!! Fast service!!!! Nice atmoshere for a 4am joint!!!! Drink prices need some work but all in all a great place!!!!
