Where do I even begin??..Krush is the EPITOME of HOOD!...they send you a text saying free till midnite but the line is so long and they dont let you in till 11:30 therefore only a few people get in for "free"..the girls are RATCHETT the boys are hood!..if your a classy girl dont go there!!!!smh
I waited for an hour – So I go to Krush yesterday. This is the hot new place my friends say. It's open until 5am they say. Its Saturday, I want to go out, so I decide to go. That was the stupidest decision that I have made in some time. So we get there at 12:30 am, because word is if you get there before 12 its empty as hell, and if you leave and come back there is a re-entry fee. The lines are out the door and not moving. WTF? On one of the coldest Saturday's ever, I make the heroin addict's decision to stand in this line. I'm freezing, we all are. The only thing to keep our spirits up is yelling at the women that walk past. 45 minutes later I am standing in the same spot freezing as I watch the poor misguided and desperate souls among me pay $20 to the bouncer to pass the line and then pay another $30 for entry. Then I remembered the text message forwarded on to me by the promoter, "Don't worry about the cold EXPRESS ENTRY AVAILABLE!" I mean they weren't lying.. Express Entry WAS available if you brought an extra 20 bones. But it wasn't available if you thought it was stupid to pay 50 BUCKS TO GET TO A CLUB ON ELSTON. So after 60 minutes, I gave up. I'm a lightweight. I could only stand so long in the freezing cold.
I called my friends the next day and they said they got in 20 minutes after I left. Hey if I would have only waited another 20 minutes in the cold, I could have got in to a club that they said was "barely ok". The club is being called KRUSH KLUB , Krush Club , Prop House.
Best place to listen to House music/Hip-Hop – The Prop house is the place to go!! My husband and I go there twice a month to listen to the House music.
The DJs are good, the owner keeps the place up the crew is constantly walking around cleaning and making sure everyone is on their best behavior. The Hip-Hop room is cool not my type of thing.
It cost $10.00 to get in for men and women, lots of room to sit down. Men shirts must have a collar or they will not let you get in. Gym shoes are allowed. I only know about Saturday nights.
HOUSE FOE SHO!!! – The first time I went to the Prop House was cool. We got there kinda early so no one got there till about 1230ish. The hip Hop room got a little ridiculously OVERcrowded. There were no cute guys there, just the regular riff raff that didn't have anything else to do that night so we left kinda early.
H.O.U.S.E 4 LIFE!!! – For those of you hatin' on the The Prop House, you don't know what partyin' is! I agree, the hip-hop side is not my thing, therefore, I didn't go on that side too often. The music is bangin' and even if you're not into house as we are, once you see how we're mesmerized by the music, you can't help but like it! I moved to another state in '03 and I miss The Prop House....I was addicted just as I was when we had the infamous WAREHOUSE!!
MAJOR PROPS 2 THE PROP HOUSE!!
House Heads only – I had to sign up just so I could say a few things about this joint. The other reviews don't capture what this joint is all about. The reviewer that said everyone stands around was obviously there too early. The party really dont start till about 1am. For all you old school househeads..this is the last of a dead race. It's just like how you remember the houseclubs of yesteryear to be. The hip hop room in the back of the joint is a little out of place for me. I don't particularly like mixing a hip hop crowd and a house crowd together..but so be it. The music is a mix of old school house & new school. I still hate the fact that they charge 15-20, but again...it's the last one of it's kind.
Come On Now.... – $15 to get in??? NO SPECIALS??? NO DANCIN AND A LOT OF STANDIN AROUND???? I know more places much better than this that are a heck of a lot cheaper.
I went to the prop house on a friday night (alternative lifestyle night). I was expecting to see a good mix of men and women , but i was highly disapointed. The house was filled with men, the music was not hot (even in the hip hop room), and there was alot of standing around. If you are a gay black men or someone who is into gay black men I highly recommend The Prop House. If you are a lesbian and looking for a place to dance and have a good time with other lesbians this place is not for you.
Cool Atmosphere – I like this place because ladies get in for free before 1130. The drinks are like average price everywhere you go from $5-7. The cover after 1130 is $15 though. The lady at the door was kind of rude though, wasn't very pleasant. Despite all the guys trying to grab on me I enjoyed it. They played really good old school, and hip hop. The bar wasn't crowded and you don't have to stand in line to get a drink. The one thing I didn't like was going into the hip hop room you have to stand in a crowded line to even get into the room which was for like 20 minutes. Overall I like this place and will keep going back to this place unlike WACK Dragon Room.
