I signed a year lease with this community back in February of 2013, the area seemed nice, apartment decent, and their receptionist at the office an amazing and kind woman named Marie. Little did I Know what I was walking into. This community does not care about any of their renters, not only is this community facing a huge lawsuit due to bad workmanship but the offices are just trying to line their pockets with money by using a tow company that is out of control. Plenty of times I have had friends and family stay with me where there cars have been towed even with passes on their vehicle. One time too they even towed my vehicle for being parked in a residential spot with a residential sticker. That was certainly a rude awakening because apparently I was parked in a construction spot for construction workers, even though that area has been open to residents before they even parked there. When I went to the office with a cool head they said there really wasn't much they could do since there were signs there that said that it was construction parking, funny thing there were other vehicles parked there with the hamptons resident sticker but were never towed, even have the pictures to prove it.

On top of all this the offices never took care of any issues, with people littering my apartment building with trash bags and leaving trash at my door that attracted bugs into my apartment. Also there are many issues with law enforcement in this neighborhood as well, constantly have seen police officers in this area, even one time for a shooting in the building next to me.

I had intended to sign the lease with this community again but after seeing how they run things it is clear that the only thing on their mind is getting as much money out of their renters as possible. My advice, steer clear of this community, once my lease is up in February of 2014 I am gone.

The Good: Nice location, easy access to I-4, Kirkman, Hiawassee, etc. Beautiful view if you are on the Turkey Lake side! Several Amenities, including two pools, a basketball center and workout center.

The Bad: The builders didn't do their homework when they built the place. It is not weatherproof at all. Bottom floors on the lake side are mostly vacant due to water damage and mold. The front buildings have been undergoing constant construction for over a year now and still aren't halfway! The other buildings will supposedly follow suit, so this could be an active construction zone for decades to come! Original owners are involved in a civil suit over shoddy construction that will complicate every facet of your stay here.

The Ugly: PARKING! Management provides an EVIL towing company (Priority One Towing) with a list of people parking on property to tow them the second your pass expires. They make getting a new pass as hard as possible, the new parking website to make things "easier" doesn't work on most computer systems, and they will find any excuse to hold your car to get more money. When I was towed (the second time) they kept it overnight because I had NC plates (turns out this is illegal).

Sept. 14th, 2012. Daughter moving out of State in the morning, they waited till we loaded the U-haul and waited till 4am like thieves to tow it away. (Yes we were over the white line) charged us $200 because we had trailer attached

(no S*it) then had to prove that U-haul was ours. Towing is fixed, office don't care it just lines their pocket. Mold, water coming in windows, mold, did I say MOLD!! You park over that white line an inch your car is towed. Where do we live, United States?. Why do they do this to us? I let everyone in my path see and feel my anger. DO NOT LIVE THERE or Visit, it will cost you $100 if you visit 24 hours and 1 minute. Security, office and towing company heard my Voice that morning. Towing called cops on me because I was Too Loud (No S*it) Low life B**tards!! Scum, all of them. I'm the Mom (Angry Bear watching over her cub) . Did I say SCUMs!! Make your momma proud you low life's!!!What goes around Ah*les. What goes around!!!!!! Don't live there please!!

Predatory Towing Policy - Residents & Guests – My wife and I have lived at the Hamptons at Metrowest for four years. The towing policy is out of control. We're moving out as soon as our lease expires. They tried to tow my wife's car b/c the parking pass wasn't clearly visible, as it was on the upper part of the windshield where it's tinted. We happened to walk out while the tow guy was backing up to tow the car. When we stopped him and showed him the pass was there, he simply said it was in the wrong spot and was still going to tow us! We had to call the police and literally stand in front of the car, so he couldn't tow it. Before the police came, he finally gave in and agreed to let the car down. What a joke. Hamptons doesn't care. Fortunately the police were helpful and at least held the guy up and sided with us. But more importantly, Hamptons allows this type of behavior & policy to exist.

A friend pet sitting also was towed. He obtained a 1-day pass, but it fell down in his floorboard when he got out of the car. Same situation. He caught the tow truck before it could pull off, but the guy said it wasn't his problem that the pass wasn't on the dash board. He had to pay $100, even though he had a pass from the security guard; the pass had simply fallen down on the floorboard. They didn't even tow his car, they just charged him $100, and then let it off the lift. Hamptons Security guard wouldn't get involved, even though he had issued the pass 20 minutes before.

The Hamptons also lets anyone pull into the property; just pull up to the gate and they open it for you (resident or non-resident). So thiefs are welcome to come on in, just rob the place and get out within 30-60 minutes. The only victims they tow are legitimate guests and residents, who park long-term. It's really incredible and ashame.
