avoid any time – not bad german beer , but an old man bar during day and bad bands at night, ugh !
best part of this bar is going to another bar
Eh... – Wow the live bands are rediculously loud and pretty terrible. The bar is the size of my kitchen. Does the band really need a huge amp and a mic? No not really. Had one beer and left. Overall just not that good (music). You know its bad when there are more people outside watching the loud band then inside.
Great place to have a real German beer – This is a bar like they had in the olden days, very good German beer and discussions with the locals that know it all.
Small tavern that's simply about having a drink and sharing Lincoln Square's German heritage. – In Short
Lincoln Square residents and students from the Old Town School of Music drop by this casual, one-room bar for reasonably priced sips after dinner or class. Paneled walls, a miniature pool table, potted plants and a laminate-topped bar create an uncle's rec-room feel; two TVs broadcasting local shows and a jukebox--sometimes overruled by an oldies radio station--reinforce the mood. The full bar's five taps are all German, but bottled beers are more diverse.
