This is Larchmonts Urth Cafe. Cozy, homey, plenty of outdoor seating and an expansive menu of breakfast and lunch offers. The pastry case is filled to the brim with beautiful cakes. Great spot for a leisurely brunch.

Want a vat of the best oatmeal ever? One you'll never finish? How about a triangle shaped red velvet cupcake being passed off as french toast? An omelette as big as your head? This is the place. And all in a funky indoor/outdoor cabin like seating situation. Metered parking only and beware the weekend wait.

What a Treat!!!!!!! – If you want something to melt in your mouth, and smile bite after bite you must try these red velvet pancakes. I could not stop myself. i work out every day and for me to indulge myself trust me they are dangerously delicious. My mouth is watering as I am writing this. I have to hold myself back. The atmosphere is quaint. Like you are at someone's dining room in Vermont. I found this place to be perfect.

It gets very busy in the late morning so be prepared to wait for a table but trust me you will walk out very satisfied.

This is a great spot for taking friends and Larchmont is a hidden gem in Los Angeles. Everyone was very friendly.

one word " disgusting" – I went with my friend to have lunch @ this new larchmont bungalow cafe after we ordered our food we went to look 4 a seating first of all we couldn't enter the inner room because the restroom smell was all over the place so, we sat in the middle ,the table was very dirty , we called the guy to clean it he sprayed windex over the dirt (chemical) nd with a disgusting , smelly very dirty cloth he wiped the table the smell was killing.... 2 minutes later the same guy who wiped our table with the dirty cloth was carrying our food and u can imagine the scene!!!!!!

food was awful!!!!!!!

me and my friend got sick until now when i remember this experience i feel like i'll throw up.....

Fantastic, but pricey – I went to LB twice already. I love the atmosphere, just reading the menu made my mouth water.

I agree with the reviewer before me. Some of the prices...whew! $12 for oatmeal--DUDE!!! The cheapest thing on the breakfast menu is a fruit bowl for $11. I actually went there with a friend to try it out for breakfast--after seeing the prices we left and went to Doughboys instead.

For lunch I had the veggie burger and the fish taco appetizer--both wonderful.

Sandwiches and burgers run around $15. The entrees are $15-22.

Granted, I get it--they're using good, expensive ingredients. In my opinion their menu may be a little large for a place of that size. Maybe that's what jacks up the prices.

This is the kind of comfy place that you want to make your "go-to" spot, but it's just a bit out of reach. Especially with so many other cheap eats around. Unfortunately, for now I'll have to settle for going every once in a while...

Citysearch Editorial Review – Cozy, delicious, comfortable – Larchmont fits snugly amid the cute shop and stroll feel of Larchmont Village, one of the few real walkable, cohesive neighborhoods in the city. The bakery/restaurant/coffee shop is light filled, wood floored and welcoming with a menu that fulfills just about every and any desire. For breakfast, there’s the “Red Velvet” pancakes with strawberry –infused maple syrup. There’s the Seafood Breakfast crepe, crammed full of lobster, shrimp, spinach, scrambled eggs, and roasted peppers (whew!) and topped with a towering dollop of tarragon -tinged hollandaise. Or try the freshly milled, freshly brewed house coffees. Cookies the size of an Olympic discus sell well here, as do cupcakes bulging with sugary frosting. For lunch, there’s sandwiches galore...all of them overstuffed and dreamy. Burgers too--your choice of lamb, beef or veggie. For dinner, Larchmont takes their “ultimate comfort food” theme to the hilt, with savory omelets such as the “Meat Sensation" Or indulge in Southern-style baby back ribs and a whole fresh Maine lobster split down the side and mixed with curry to create a dish with a post-modernist presentation and a taste like heaven. In short, if you can’t find something you like at Larchmont, chances are you don’t like anything.

Pretty and pricey – The Nantucket vibe of the place is just what the doctor ordered on this rainy LA day. The decor in this place seems to have taken its cue from the Alcove in Los Feliz. What makes this place better than the Alcove is more inside seating, easier parking and more space in general.

I ordered bean soup which was amazing and vegan! They have some other options that can be made vegan like their stir fried veggie entree and their salads. Their fries were also fantastic, perfectly crisp and served with a tasty chipotle ketchup.

However, the prices, the prices! This place is crazy expensive, everything starts at about $15, even the sandwiches. This being Los Angeles, home of cheap awesome eats, I have to ding them for this. The food taste to price ratio is not swinging in their favor.

My rating is really a 3.5.
