Just purchased new travel trailer from Chesapeake RV Solutions. The experience was great. Charlotte, our sales person was knowledgable, and did her best to make sure that we choose the right trailer for us. The staff had great customer service, responded to phone calls in a timely manner, but we're not pushy. They made the process easy. We have bought many trailers over the years from several different dealers and this was by far the best experience. Not only would I recommend them to friends, but when/if I purchase another trailer I will just go straight chesapeake RV and not bother looking elsewhere. Thanks for a great buying experienc
Bought a new Heartland Trail Runner from Chesapeake RV Solutions. When the plywood floor in the slide rotted out, even though it was in warranty, Chesapeake refused to repair the trailer. Thank God for Mike Taylor at American Family RV who not only made the repairs - an excellent job - but called the folks at Heartland and convinced them to pay for the entire job!
Tire Warning – Chesapeake Rv Ben was very good salesman during the sale of the the RV! Promised if we purchased a used rv it would be inspected and looked over with a fine tooth comb!
When we took delivery it would be as new as possible! Beware once you sign the closing papers everything you discussed goes out the door and forgotten! We are lucky to be alive. FYI PLEASE PLEASE look at your tires closely and if the date code is old the tire is dry rotted. Demand that they be replaced! We did this and were assured the tires were just fine! Trusting there word! Lets just say 3 blow out in 2 trips. Spoke with Owner Tim and he pretty much insulted us rather then helped us! Camper tires dry rott from the inside out. If you see signs of dry rotting on the outside rest assure the tire is done on the inside! BE safe Happy Camping and check those tires! We wont be camping for a while due to the severe damage to our Camper because Chesapeake Rv did not listen to the consumer!!!
Hampton Roads Best RV Store to Buy – We shopped for our first RV for days and days and days from store to store to store. We were trying to decide between a 5th wheel and truck camper. Tim, the owner of Chesapeake RV Solutions helped us weigh out all the options not only with his technical knowledge but his personal family adventures of camping. We decided on the truck camper and received the best price for it from Chesapeake RV Solutions. It fits our lifestyle and enjoyment of the outdoors over indoor living. The best part is the quality of our truck camper keeps us satisfied and happy even though most of our friends are on their second RVs!!! When we are ready to grow our RV we will definitely buy from Chesapeake RV Solutions.
I had a great time – From the moment I arrived I was treated a little different from other places. I didn't feel like I had to fight off the sales staff. Ben was very knowledgeable and laid back. He never once pressed me to buy. In fact, I did find the right rv and he told me I should take a day and sleep on it. That truley blew me away! I was back the next day and made the purchase. I'm a customer for life!
Dishonest Owners – I tried to purchase a trailer through this dealership. I worked with a great salesman, George. He gave a good deal on a trailer I really wanted. I put money down on that specific trailer. A few days later, George told me that his boss, the owner Tim Loen had sold that same trailer to someone else for a higher price. The owner was only looking to make money for himself without caring for his customer. On other RV message boards, I had read that I was not the first time he had done this. A previous customer came from Maryland to buy a pop up, while she was there, she wrote down the vin number of the one she was purchasing. When she came back a few weeks later he tried to give her a different trailer, one that she did not want, and tried to convince her that she was wrong. Good thing she wrote down the VIN!
