Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful. Me and my boyfriend used to ride all the way to Lowe's Food Store in Pineville NC and we live in Lancaster SC to get fresh sushi. But I did a search for Monroe NC and found this place. We just went to try it out and WE LOVE IT NOW!!!!!!! We will go there now to get sushi. The only thing I got a little upset about was the lady that waited on us couldn't speak english at all. We had to constantly point at things on the menu and try our best to make her understand. But other than that We loved it.

Possible "Kitchen Nightmare" ..?. Reading the other review We thought we would try it. The sushi chef gave us the ends of the rolls he made that were 2 inches high. Waitress told me "yes, no, yes, no, wait" when i asked if anything contained MSG. She went and asked someone else if it was "low sodium soy sauce" and she said "yes low sodium". Obviously this presents a health hazard. Sushi was fair, and our hibachi (Chicken, Vegetable, Filet) was poor. Filet had lots of fat and was old. Chicken was flavorless, vegetables old. 3 Customers on Friday night. Plus they added 18% gratuity.

Best sushi anywhere!!. I used to drive to Charlotte for sushi, but not anymore. Good pricing, excellent selection. Buffet at lunch and holidays. I recently went to Alaska and had sushi and Ajimi's was better, spoiled me for any other place. It's definitely worth the drive. Plus, rarely have to wait for seating. I'm hesistant even to nominate only because I'm selfish, I love not having to wait for my sushi!! Only rant, they use crabstick instead of real crab. Not a problem, though, many other types of fish to choose from, large varieties of rolls and sashimi, and full japanese menu as well. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
