Great customer service. I love this place!!!!!!!!!!! Go have some good food and awesome service. The food is great. try the pesto pasta or the pesto pizza.
Neighborhood restaurant Bliss. Not gourmet, but solidly friendly, tasty, and cozy. Deep Dish Spinach with a whole wheat crust is the best Chicago Style pizza I've ever had. Reasonable prices, great place to go in bad weather and feel just at home. Best coffee in Hyde Park if you like it hot, black, and refilled many times. When I lived around the corner I used to get takeout pretty often too--it's usually ready pretty fast. Take a friend or a date!
Hyde Park cafe where University of Chicago students come for pasta and pizza..

Pastel-colored walls and impressionist posters are the essence of the decor at this popular late-night hang. Starters include items like chicken tenders, bruschetta, quesadillas, hummus and chili as well as several salads. Favorite follow-ups include Chicago-style pan pizza, thin and crispy pizza, a variety of wraps, burgers, sandwiches and entrees like manicotti, skirt steak, lasagna and more. For dessert, try a hot fudge sundae, carrot cake or Key lime pie.
A casual Hyde Park crowd lingers over pizza, pasta, sandwiches and more at this cozy B.Y.O.B. hangout..

Beat-up wood tables and booths, mix-and-match chairs, and exposed-brick walls give this neighborhood restaurant a comfy, lived-in feel, drawing UC students and profs for dinner and coffee dates. The menu is varied--from California wraps and Italian beef sandwiches to lemon-pepper catfish and pasta of the day--but the restaurant is most famous for its pizzas, available in deep-dish and thin-crust options with toppings such as spinach, artichokes, garlic, blue cheese and pineapple.
Go for the Pizza. In a town known for deep dish pizza, Cafe Florian is little known outside of Hyde Park despite the fact that its deep dish pizza is far superior to the popular corporate tourist traps like Uno's, Due's and Gino's. Burgers and salads are fine, and other menu items are just so-so, but come here for deep dish pizza, not other stuff.
A Hyde Park Godsend. It's 11 PM on a Friday in Hyde Park and you're starving for a substantive meal--Florian is the place to be. You'll find people hanging out drinking coffee, eating desserts, meals, or whatever suits their fancy. Though the food is not spectacular, it's good food at prices perhaps slightly higher than they should be, but pretty reasonable given the area and the competition (the Med). The desserts (pre-prepared from somewhere and sitting in the fridge) leave something to be desired, but their wraps and sandwiches hit the spot. Well worth it.
Florian Rocks. Just a few words to the hotest manager in Chicago: Demitri your place is great, the food is great and the service is outstanding. Keep up the great work. Those philly wraps are so good.
