I just want to make a comment on Belinda's V. review. I was there on Friday and saw what had happened. I just want to let you know that it was NOT Phyllis who was talking to you like that. It was Lucy, the owner's daughter. I have know Phyllis since the place has opened and she does not have a mean streak like that. I am really sorry for what happened, but I just wanted to set the record straight when it comes to the staff

My husband has been going here for 30+ years. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here 18 years ago. We celebrate birthdays and anniversary's here. They had our long-standing business and loyalty until last night. Our 8 year old boy with Down syndrome cannot a eat anything on their menu because of major sensory issues. My husband came in with our two sons and a friend, and a 99 cent hot dog for my boy with Down syndrome--- he was prepared to order a family sized pizza. Mind you, managment and the waitress have known the family for years. He was yelled at from accross the restuarant by Phyllis, the waitress, to throw away the hot dog or leave the restaurant. He kindly tried to explain the situation and threw away the soda (that came with the hot dog), but she yelled at him again to throw away the hot dog or leave the premises. Before leaving, he tried to speak with the owner (who he has personally known for 30 years). The owner told him that his son has "gotta learn to eat more than hot dogs." Where's the loyalty to customers. My husband left the restaurant with a promise that all would know how they treat loyal customers.

I know the restaurant has been around for 35 years. I happen to know first hand that the food is very good. And the service there is so so. As far as delivery you can get your food delivered within the time they tell you. As far as placing an order for pickup/delivery yes they are very blunt and to the point on the phone. And unfortunately being owned by a old fashioned Sicilian family they could be considered Jewish when it comes to their generosity with the food portions.

I should know I work there.

WORST MANAGEMENT – I HAVE BEEN ORDERING FOR 10 YEARS. THE MANAGER IS MEAN AND IGNORANT, NOR DOES HE CARE ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS. I ORDERED A SIDE SALAD, DID NOT REALIZE DRESSING CAME ON SALAD, AND I ASKED FOR A NEW SALAD WITH DRESSING ON SIDE AND HE REFUSED OVER A 2.00 SALAD. HOW DOES A MANAGER LOSE A GOOD CUTOMER OVER 2.00 IF YOU HAVE EVER EATEN IN THE RESTAURANT YOU KNOW ITS FILTHY ,AND SHOULD BE ON KITCHEN NIGHTMARES. I HOPE EVERYONE IN GARIELD RIDGE READS THIS, NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE PIZZA IS THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS AND DOESNT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND PLEASE WASH THOSE CHECKERED TABLECLOTHS. HOW CHEAP CAN A PLACE GET ? WHAT A COWARD I CALLED TO COMPLAIN AND THE MANAGER COULDNT EVEN GET ON THE PHONE. DONT EAT THERE! TOO MANY COMPETITIORS AROUND.

Good food bad attitudes – The delivery to my house was pretty quick. The pizza was real good too. The only horrible part about it was the phone service. As soon as I mentioned each topping the girl quickly tried to cut me off by saying “that’s it, your pizza will be there in about 30 to 45 minutes” and tried to hang up on me. I ordered a total of four toppings and by the third topping she actually hung up on me. I had to call back and finished ordering my pizza. When I actually finished ordering my pizza, she was quick to hang up on me, so I had to call back again and order crushed pepper and parmesan cheese. Can it pizza without that! I was afraid to tell her something because you never know what they can do to your food. After all, I would it their again. It was real good pizza, but in person.

Great Pizza! – I recently moved near Danny's but I have been going there for years. Danny's has excellent pizza, my favorite being the regular sausage pizza. My friends always ask where the pizza is from when I order and comment on how good the sauce taste. Also, try the pizza puffs, they are huge!

Traditional South Side pizza joint draws a loyal neighborhood crowd with casual atmosphere and – In Short
Budget-conscious families and construction workers on lunch break head to this pleasant spot, where red and white-checked vinyl tablecloths, beer signs on walls and banquet chair-style seating make for a comfortable, approachable mood. Pizza stars on the menu, offering stuffed, deep-dish and thin-crust varieties topped with standards like sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. Other options include ravioli, eggplant Parmesan, Italian beef and fried shrimp. For dessert? Spumoni, of course.
