I went to this restaurant on weekend with some of my friends and i had a very nice experience. They management was friendly. As it was sunday they had a buffet which i didn't knew before. so i've got a chance to taste lot of south indian recipes which i haven't before. Food taste delicious especially i liked palak panner, chicken curry and goat curry. I never ate goat curry before it was very delicious bit of surprise there. I am really satisfied with the taste , although it is a bit of spicy. The buffet isn't much costlier either. so I'd recommend everyone to try it.
I went to this restaurant on the weekend along with my family and it was a good experience So here i am to write a review so everyone could have the same nice experience.
Their food was awesome esp those of their Naans, i had Indian food in couple of places in NJ But these tasted better, Their Dum Biryani is too good.
Well i haven't had any vegetarian they were serving. My Husband had the dosa and said it was good too
So all in all i would say Food tastes delicious
DO NOT RECOMMEND
The management of this restaurant has changed on 3rd week of March 2013. So all reviews before that, pertain to the previous India's Kitchen which was a 4/5.
The current management advertised South Indian Vegetarian Tuesdays and Thursdays so we went with the family.
1. we were 6 people and they were seating us in a round table for 12 when most of the restaurant was empty. We then chose a round table for six. The buffet had undercooked idli, under-cooked vadas, watered down Chole. We then ordered Chole Bhature, and masala dosa, onion uthapam, and Chili Dosa. Uthapam was undercooked and was not edible. Masala dosa had microscopic aloo in it. Chili dosa was actually a plain dosa and inside was one thinly sliced green chilli. NO, no aloo and chili on top, just plain dosa and a thinly sliced green chili. We had to ask for water, there was no service to speak of. So then we got the bill, 13.95 per person, my youngest daughter did not eat at all so it was 5 people. She wrongly billed us for 5 people 79.95,+ 10.50 for 3 mango lassi. Added tax and $18 gratuity and came up with a total of $ 115= . When I asked to check the bill, she had to cancel the transaction and then then bill was $78= So, 1. Bad Food, 2. False Advertising, 3. Erroneous Billing. So We would never go there again. Anyone who says that this restaurant is excellent, has either never been to an Indian restaurant before, or is a friend or relative of the restaurant management.
Good buffet – I only go here for the lunch buffet so I can't speak for the other dining options they have. That being said, it's definitely my favorite Indian buffet place because it's close, tastes good, and will fill you up and then some.
I love the round ball desserts they have but sometimes they're not available. If the price of the buffet was $1 or $2 cheaper I would be going there every other week! I love curry, especially the orange tofu and chicken one they have, and I never liked green curry to begin with so I won't rag on me not liking it here either. There's not too much to say, since the buffet is pretty simple and the service is fine. Good place for hungry ppl looking for Indian buffet.
Great Tasting Food - Great for Vegetarians too – We have been eating here for about 5 years and it remains of our favorite places to eat. We are both vegetarians and we have so many tasty choices here. The buffet offered seven days a week at lunch is full of vegetarian choices. Sometimes I order off the menu as well. The food is spicy but that's Indian Food and why some love it and others don't. The servers are so friendly and always provide great service. They remember where you like to sit and even drink HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE A FAN OF INDIAN CUISINE!
DEAD CREATURES IN OUR FOOD!!! – My husband and I figured we would try out this Indian restaurant on Christmas day 2007 since that was all that was pretty much open and the fact we love indian food.
We get our meal and their were DEAD CREATURES!!! I kid you not!!! It was absolutely disgusting!! We found it in our rice!!!!
When we told the server, he didnt even apologize and we left RIGHT AWAY!!!
I couldn't eat indian food for a good year from that experience!!
My favorite Indian Restaurant in Saint Louis – They have my favorite chicken curry in the city. I've been to their restaurant many times and have never had a bad meal there or bad service. They're courteous and friendly. We've ordered off the menu and shared as well as tried everything off of multiple buffets.
It's right off Manchester Road.
Fast and friendly service!!! – Excellent authentic food.. by far the best south indian food ever had in usa. Highly recommended, cheap and tasty.
Good Indian Food – My family approached this restaurant cautiously after the first two reviews we read. However, after eating there twice we have a totally different opinion than previous reviewers. The service was fast, attentive, and friendly. The food has been consistently good both in taste and appearance. We will come back and totally recommend this restaurant to our friends.
Indian Kitchen under new looks – Since my last visit to Indias Kitchen, once again I went there last weekend and I must say that you got a try their "Lamb Biryani (Basmati rice cooked with Lamb)" from the menu!!!
Once again their friendly customer service is always there with simle :-)
