WORST PLACE EVER! Don't waste your time or $$$ – Let me just say that if you are wanting a personal, friendly, one on one experience for picking out your wedding dress you DO NOT WANT COME HERE! Every consultant (I went through 2, 2 different times) was in hurry and their attitudes are nothing but horrible.
I won't go into to much detail however I must say this... if you end up ordering a dress and for whatever reason decide you don't like it, hate it, hate the experience or whatever and they tell you you CANNOT return it.. threaten to call corporate.
I had a dress ordered and after many problems with their customer service, their attitudes, their all i care about is it the $$$ BS, I fought to have my ordered canceled. Just today (my dress came in today also) they gave me all of my $$$ back.
Don't waste your time with these ppl. Our wedding day planning should be fun and exciting and not butchered by ppl who don't care! They only care about the sale!
Goodbye David's Bridal.. I'm going to Ultimate Bride where they care!
Worst Customer Service Experience – Ok, so I did not even go here for my wedding dress and thank god I didn't because the service was HORRIBLE. I ended up going here to get a bustier to wear under my dress. First I get to the store and have to wait a good ten minutes just to be seen, I guess because I didn't get my dress from them that means that I don't really matter even though I am a paying customer...So finally a consultant pulls me back and asks for my size, (32D) and she comes back with two 32Cs claiming they don't have any more 32Ds. I try on the ones she gave me just to be sure and they were too small. I waited around outside of the room I was in for another ten minutes before a completely different consultant takes the bustiers I had and exchanges them for 32DD, 34D and a 32D. The first consultant had totally lied to me. After trying these on I decided to go with the 34D. I again waited ANOTHER ten minutes but this time there was a consultant right in front of me putting veils away and cleaning out rooms, not only did she completely ignore me about FIVE other consultants walked by me without even asking me If I needed help. Finally I just put the extra bustiers on the chair, I was done...I did end up buying the one but only because I have looked everywhere else and have not been able to find anything, If it weren't for that I would have just left. I will never recommend this store to anyone and I can't imagine trying to get a dress here.
Great service! – Love this place! I've been a bridesmaid for two weddings now and we've used David's Bridal both times. The sales ladies are super friendly and helpful; we didn't have any customer service issues. I recommend going on a weekday (much less busy!). I've worked with Dani and Kim and they were both great. Even when it was super busy they were efficient and helpful. I'll definitely come back for my wedding gown!
No complaints at all. – I just bought my dress at David's and I have no complaints at all. I didn't run into any of the same problems I did at other stores. They have a variety of sizes so you can actually try on something close to if not exactly your size. At other stores there is one of each dress so you have to use your imagination on what the dress will look like if it fit. Using David's website and catalog to find dresses I liked was very helpful too. At another store I went to their website and printed out my favorites, she only carried 3 of the dresses I picked.
I printed off every dress I wanted to try on at David's and we just went down the list. I tried on over 50 dresses and they were completely helpful. I never felt rushed in or out, they worked with me until I was done. At other stores they said I had an hour time limit! I went in to David's twice to try on a bunch of different dresses. Then went back 2 more times to make my final decision between my favorites. I did make an appt and they just assigned someone to help me, I worked with her 3 of the 4 times I was in there. She knew my size and what my favorites were without me saying, she remembered. I worked with Corey and Cali there and they both were wonderful to me.
Another nice thing about David's is a lot of their dresses come in petite. I'm 5 ft tall so thats a must and I didn't find this at any other store. I found that the David's dress fit me perfectly I don't believe any alterations will be needed at all, since I could order petite. I'm a size 6, another store told me I should order a size 10 because I have a big chest and have the dress taken in everywhere else. The size 6 at David's fits perfect! These other stores don't have that size to even try on, they had mostly all size 12 or 14 and were clipping the dresses on. Its annoying to think someone should order a dress possibly the wrong size and then pay to have it altered to fit you.
Go to David's, they have beautiful dresses in a variety of sizes at a great price!!
I did hear from a few of my friends that the David's Bridal in St Charles isn't as good as the one in Sunset Hills. Maybe thats the problem with these reviews. I thought everyone in sunset hills was extremely helpful, not one person who pushy to me ever they know its a big decision. They were respectful, helpful and friendly to me.
Horrible Place - Horrible Service – Do not go here. They are rude and unhelpful to the bride and entire wedding party.
The people at this store are rude, they do not help you find dresses even if you make an appointment. I also believe they sold my personal information to other bridal related businesses, I have gotten multiple phone calls and mailing since visiting David's Bridal. Some of the calls are for scam honeymoon companies.
Do not go here.
Sold me $179 Veil that was very different from the one I had tried on- Don't go to David's Bridal. – I found the dress & veil of my dreams at the Sunset Hills location in St. Louis last Thurs. I put the dress,& veil on layaway & put down a deposit of $200. The dress was beautiful & the veil was light & simple. I was surprised it was $179, but the sales rep said that was Avg.I went back on Sunday to try on headpieces. The sales rep brought out a sample of the veil I had in layaway to try on with the headpieces. I was confused at first to see that it was NOT the same veil as the one I had tried on last time! It was heavy with gaudy beads & tacky lace! I asked her if this was the same veil & she double checked & said it was indeed the same one I had on layaway. I didn't make a fuss then but I was sure it WAS NOT the same veil. They were very busy on Sun & she was working with other customers so I left & went home. I compared pictures from Thurs. with the ones taken Sunday.IT WAS NOT THE SAME VEIL! I couldn't believe they had done that to me! I decided I would go back & take that veil off of Layaway. I figured I would give the consultant the benefit of the doubt -maybe she mixed the veils up. I went back and spoke with a Manager who did not seem to want to help me. I said I wanted to take the veil off layaway & just put that money towards my dress. She told me I couldn't do that. She said I had to pay everything off first & then I could exchange the veil for something of equal or LESSER value. So if I couldn't find something worth $179 then I would basically LOSE money. Why would I want to pay towards something I didn't want in the first place & that I never even TRIED ON!!?! Next she told me that if I cancel the layaway I could only cancel the entire purchase. So I did. I canceled the dress & everything. To top it off she tried to tell me that I would forfeit the 25% I had put down. I had to point out that the layaway policy CLEARLY STATES that all cancellations with in 10 days entitled the buyer to a FULL refund. THANK GOODNESS I had read the policy!
Horrible experience and we will never go back to David's Bridal again!!!!!!!! – My Daughter and her Maid of Honor,Bridemaids and me which is the soon to be brides Mother went to Davids Bridal. Not an nice experience at all. Everyone was in a good mood until we were there for 30 minutes and things got not so nice. My daughter had seen 2 dresses she wanted to try on and told the woman helping her 3 or 4xs she wanted to try those dresses on but the woman never brought them so my daughter could try them on. This woman brought my daughter other dresses to try on but not what she wanted to try on.This woman was also helping other soon to be brides and rushing around the store and we would stand there and wait and wait for another dress. The bride maids start going to the racks and looking and pulling dresses to try on. The woman said you only get 1 1/2 hrs. for your party to try on dresses. We thought well if they would have gave the right amount of time without helping others out also they may have found a dress.There was suppose to be this big sale going on that you could get a Brides dress for $99.00. Thats just a way to get woman to come to this shop for my daughter asked about these dresses and well she never saw nothing under $600.00. We were waiting for other dresses to try on we were sitting there in the chairs and there was another soon to be bride trying on a dress.This young lady was a very large woman and we heard the lady thats hems the dresses up telling this woman well you need to lose weight and it could fit. We couldn't believe what we were hearing.Here stands a woman who is buying a top dollar dress being told she needed to lose weight from an employee. I know she had to be ashame of what this woman was saying. If this was me I would have left the store. People come in to spend money not to be put down.All of us left the store in a bad mood and my daughter was really depressed.Please don't waste your time or gas going to David Bridal for its not what they claim it to be.Horrible sad experience and we will never go there again.

A chic, sleek boutique, it's not. But those willing to look carefully will likely find a big-time bargain. The staff is helpful and knows the merchandise but doesn't provide extensive one-on-one attention or advice. Stores (particularly on weekends) can be swamped with brides-to-be. David's specializes in beaded satin A-lines and simple lace sheaths that just hit the $500 mark. Most labels are tasteful but of medium-quality: Gloria Vanderbilt, Lady Eleanor, Oleg Cassini and the likes.
HORRIBLE customer service, but found a great dress – HORRIBLE customer service! I found the absolute best dress for me at Davids Bridal. It fit perfectly and even made my mom cry! That is the only reason it got any stars at all. I took a bridesmaid with me who was also engaged and we had plans to try on wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses together for both our weddings. When I made the appointment I was told that was possible and I only needed one appointment. When my bridesmaid arrived, they told her that this day was about me only and she would have to make a separate appointment later that day if she wanted to try on dresses. My bridesmaid and I were shocked! We didn't know what to say! We went along with the consultants rules, not wanting to cause a scene and totally disapointed that the day wouldn't be as fun as we had planned. Then we went back to try on the wedding dresses that I had marked in the catalog and got absolutely no input from my consultant. She brought me my dress, told me to try in on, and left me alone until I was ready to try on another dress. She was also helping 3 other brides and treated them all the same way, like cattle. I was shocked at how little input I got from my consultant and how unfriendly she was. When I did find a dress that my mom and bridesmaid found to be perfect, only then was the consultant happy because she saw a sale I guess. Only then did she help me with my decisions. I am extremely unhappy about the service but did find that perfect dress that made me look amazing and was in my budget. It looked like a high end dress but for less money. I will not be purchasing anything else for my wedding at David's Bridal because of the horrible customer service. The only reason I bought the dress was that it fit perfectly and was exactly what I wanted. I tried to ignore the service and focus on the dress. I will not be returning to Davids Bridal and will not be reccomending it to anyone.
Be very careful! – I found a veil I liked, I asked the salesperson to ORDER me a new one. I made it very clear I did not want the one on the shelf. When I got to the checkout counter I was told "we found a veil in the back, its new". I then looked in the bag...It was the SAME veil I tried on! The tulle was ripping away from the comb. I was totally lied to. I then said I did not want to purchase the veil. The sales person also tried to talk my bridemaids into taking the dresses from the racks. When they all said no, she said "well if you order them it will take 2 months". The dresses on the racks are not new, they have been tried on about 100 times! The zippers are worn. They don't have great customer service there, the dresses are resonable. But beware of them trying to sell you the dress or veils on the racks.
