Love that Car, HATE the Dealer!!
I saw bad reviews on this dealer and should have listened. Unfortunatly they had the car that no one else had (2014 Focus ST3). I spent almost 6 hours of my day purchasing a new car. I waited and waited and waited around to sign paperwork. Finally as I was signing all the paperwork they started to add on fees and add-ons. I was charded over 200% markup on an extended warranty plan. After speaking with Ford directly I found out I could buy the plan for cheaper directly from Ford and avoid all the dealer markups. I keep calling the finance department and nobody ever returns my messages. finally I got in touch with a manager and got a brief phone call two hours later. Worst dealer ever and I am not ever returning, except to cancel all of the add-ons they stuck me with.
I love my car, which is the only thing that is keeping me sane at this point. That has nothing to do with the dealer however.
Be careful!!!!! I returned for a third time and I purchased a 2014 Focus from this dealer. During the document signing you sign a paper that says 4 day 200 mile no questions asked return with a $499 restocking fee. I drove this car for 3 days and the transmission started messing up. I had the cruise control set at 55 mph and on flat ground and this car would rap the rpms up to red line and would not come back down. Pulling out into traffic in town I lost complete power and the car wouldn't go. I returned it to the dealer and they proceeded to tell me that this was "normal". Guess they like to take advantage of women but I know better!! The finance guy and my salesman started to look for another car to put me into. I wanted my old car back and they refused. I was then put into a Fusion which I rode home in and finally drove to work. The performance of this car was the worst I have ever driven. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the dealer and was told there was nothing I could do about it I was stuck in this car. I called another Groove dealer and asked if they could help my by putting me into another car. That dealers manager called the Ford dealer and spoke to them then called me back and told me I could get my car back if I pay the $499 restocking fee and then come to them to trade it in. I went to the dealer and got my car back and I will never go back again!!!
Never buy anything from here unless you want taken! – NEVER buy a car from this Dealership unless you want to end up on the loosing end of a battle! My mother purchased a car from Burt Ford, with a lifetime oil change contract. Burt Ford was amazing, and always took care of their promises. Groove Ford ended up buying the Franchise AND inventory from Burt, as Burt went under. Groove will not honor my mothers lifetime oil change contract. I understand they were/are a different entitiy, but in my opinion, purchasing the franchise and the inventory also means you take on AND HONOR any existing contracts. The manager didn't agree, or care. All he offered was the online coupons given to anybody for oil changes. Now my mother is out a ton of money for "lifetitme" oil changes that now she has to buy. Don't trust this franchise won't do the same to you! I'm a Ford fan, but will never purchase from any Groove's.
Honest and Efficient – I feel compelled to write a review for Groove Ford. I went to Groove for a 2nd opinion for an oil leak. I was previously quoted $2100.00 to fix several leaks. I took my car to Groove and they told me I had only one leak. The service rep actually took me back and showed me the current oil leak and explained what failed on the car. By the end of the day the my car was fixed and it was $900.00 cheaper than the previous quote at another dealer. I really appreciated the honesty and how efficient everyone was. Keep up the great work!
High Pressure-Bad Attitudes – We were not at all pleased with our experience with Groove Ford. The sales associate lied to us throughout the transaction. “Oh I have someone else test driving it right now.” Come to find out, it was actually in detail!!! We walked away initially because we had other matters to take care of, and he was down-right nasty to us! “I have someone else on the floor wanting to buy the vehicle.” We did not see anyone else on the floor or in the lot at the time and the car was still there when we called back to purchase it.
After we signed the papers to purchase the vehicle, we NEVER saw our associate again. He never even thanked us for our purchase or gave us a business card! One of the other salesmen gave us the keys. They never fixed the items they agreed to either. The finance manager was a total grouch! You’d think they would all be happy we bought the car!
Can not get a clear title – I have made four trips to get my tags and title and was not able because the sales people did not do the leg work for the paper work needed. This has been going on now for four months without a title. I am handicap and need my handicap plates put without the proper paper work done right the state wont issue them. This was a christmas present and one to remember. I dont even know if someone will come and take it from me and the person who bought it for me paid cash.
