They are hugh and if you don't see what you want in the store they have an awesome warehouse full of about 3 to 5 thousand wigs and over a million costume and party items.
The selection of Mascot and costume rentals is overwelming. You will never find a better selection of costumes to choose from. The staff is very helpful and I always recommend Fantasy Costumes to all of my friends and family.

Chicago Costumes Galore – Fantasy Costumes is THE BEST costume store I've ever been to!
They have costumes to buy or rent, or even pieces of costumes (I.e. Wigs, glasses, masks, etc.) that you can piece together with what you already have or the staff will put together a costume just for you.
Anytime either myself or one of my friends need to BuyCostumes oe something Party City related, we go to Fantasy Costumes. The place is a city block long, open year round, with plenty of street parking or they have a lot around the corner during Halloween.
I sometimes just go to see all the different outfits and people watch at Fantasy Costumes. Just coming to Fantasy costumes is a treat to watch the different types of people that are attracted here. Just an overall Fun place to come and pick out a sexy costume too :)
Best Costume shop in the World – I love this costume shop. My in-laws have been going there for 40 years. My daughters school has been buying costumes for their drama department for over 40 years. They have adult, kids and pet costumes. Easter costumes, 70's Costumes, Playboy costumes, Santa Costumes, Sexy Adult Costumes and of Course - The Most Halloween Costumes on the Planet.
Of course if they don't have it -- They will find it for you too. The place is a block long and has over a million costumes to choose from. Thanks for being there for us Fantasy Costume of Chicago.

Incredible Service – Well, before I shopped I read the reviews on Fantasy Costumes. My experience was completely the opposite of the negative reviews. I have to ask who was at fault--the store or the purchaser. I looked on line for what I wanted. Went to the store at an hour that I knew the traffic wouldn't be bad, that there would be available parking (got a space right across the street) and went at a time most people wouldn't be shopping. I was greeted as I walked in. I was asked what I was looking for. They listened to what I wanted and the type of party I was planning on attending. They gave me options. I said I was on the web site and saw a few items that I liked. They retrieved a number of those items. I paid a very reasonable price and I was out the door in 20 minutes or less! Keep up the great work. I'll be back and so will my friends!
Poorly run business, DO NOT order from website! – I ordered a very expensive dress on October 10 for an October 25 party. I ordered online and immediately called to ask if they could add a note to my order saying that I needed the costume before the 25th. The woman said it would absolutely be taken care of and I would have it well before my party.
I finally called on the 22nd, still having not received the costume. I was on hold forever, it seemed, and when someone finally DID answer the phone, it was with a very irritated, "Hello." I tell him I'm looking for an update on a shipment that I haven't received, yet, and he says it was shipped. When I ask him when it was shipped, he says the 20th! The website AND the confirmation email I received promises shipment WITHIN 24 hours (the website now says 24-72, but even if it had been shipped within that time, I would've received it on time). It was shipped 10 DAYS after I ordered it. He tells me it is supposed to arrive on the 27th.
I tell him we have a problem, since my party is on the 25th. I say I'd like to start the process of returning this, since I can't use it if it's coming after the party. He starts getting really upset and offensive and tells me no one is going to let me return this. It's my fault for ordering ground shipment, he says, and he's not "gonna deal with" me since "you've been calling me since 8:30." I gently explain that I was in bed at 8:30 and this (10:00) is the first time I have called ever. He tells me I'm lying, is SUPER sarcastic, and REFUSES to let me speak to anyone else. He says the rest of the company is on vacation until Nov. 1, so he's the only one I can talk to. His explanation for their mistake in shipment is that "it's halloween season" so what do I expect? They won't refund me, and despite my reminder that this is THEIR mistake, he refuses (and seems to get joy out of it) saying there is no note saying I needed it by the 25th.
TERRIBLE, sarcastic, bad business. DO NOT order from these people!
Good customer service – We have had excellant help at the Fantasy Costume business. We have no complaints. The store gets very busy at times, but they have been courteous and fun to talk with. They have even taken suggestions that we have offered. All in all, we are happy with what they offer us. Thanks
Please do not use these people – Wife ordered my childs simple mask online 2 weeks prior. 3 days before Halloween, we had to call and were informed they were not in stock, and we should have gotten an email. (No email!@)

Incompetence Anyone...? – I am the head of design for hair and makeup at my (will remain unnamed) college. I called Fantasy Costume to make sure they had the brand of wigs I was looking for. I was told.. "We have a wonderful array of many spectacular wigs." I asked, "Do you take purchase orders?" "Yes. Of course we do."
My school is a 2 hour drive.
I got there and there are wigs thrown everywhere. The Lacey brands wigs (which were grossly overpriced) were so scattered and in such disarray, I didn't even know where to start. So I didn't. I went to the less expensive, not so great quality, but still overpriced wigs. But they still didn't have what I needed.
In the meantime, I set my bag on the floor, next to my basket of wigs, as I was trying to make due. If people weren't asking who's bag it was, they were asking if they could help. Yay, help right? No. I finally thought, hey they want to help, let them. They had as little a clue as I did! Finally a girl, super nice, said are you doing a play? I was and she'd been in it twice! I love this girl. She was nice enough to offer their "head..." whatever they called her. She was the rudest! Yelling at this poor girl who was finally some help to me, rude to us. Ripped the pictures out of my hand and just started grabbing things off the wall without my feedback or approval.
I was there for 2 hours!
I go to pay, I hand her the purchase order. "We dont take purchase orders." (If you'll remember from the beginning of the store, I called specifically to ask if they took purchase orders.) "I'd like to see the manager." He came out was absolutely no help, practically called me a liar. Then slinked away like the litte worm he is.
It was a joke. I'll never go back and they've managed to lose out on all sorts of business.
