MAYORS RACE KICK-OFF, 4 HAROLD MILLER – Hi, my name is Harold Miller and I am running for mayor of San Francisco and I am having my KICK-OFF campaign party there at the Delirium, 3139 16th street S.F. May 23, 2011 at 7:p.m. 415-841-0840
Not too shabby... – Came here for happy hour with a friend from out of town.
Great vibe and people...and the bartender was really nice.
The beer selection was good, but I opted for wine. It was a little old and turning. I've bartended before, and I feel like if there's any question about the wine...the bartender should taste it first - or let the patron taste it to see if it's ok.
I drank it, because I didn't want to send it back and be THAT girl. Then, I got a water. There were red bits floating in it. After waiting awhile for the bartender to see me, he refilled it...saying it was probably the gun. It was indeed, and my new water also had red bits floating in it. Guess all the gun drinks have crud from the line. I've never seen that before.
Anyway, I'd go back, but probably stick to beer, since the mixers and the wine are both a little tainted.
pisss, drugss and low end life forms – The quality of the people really lacks at this bar. There big turn ons are pissing on the sidewalk and doing any type of drugss they can find. If you want to meet quality people, find another bar to go to. Oh the site wont allow me to write the word to urinate in slang so i had to mispell it and the word for illegal substances....what a joke since they seem to condone it.
The perfect Mission dive: cheap drinks, surly service, grimy bathrooms, a sweaty dancefloor, weird music and great times. – A neon-lit Mecca for hard-drinking Missionites, Delirium is both a dive and a hot spot with an aesthetic that matches exactly that of its patrons. Nearly every night, inked-up youngsters with big pupils and skinny jeans crowd the bar for two-dollar Tecates between smoke breaks and trips to boogie to the music in the back room. In the earlier hours, however, this place earns its authentic dive status, with a few down-on-their-luck customers working on their drinks and not much else. It's not the place to come for a date or a well-made martini (or even a Jack and Coke), but Delirium's a phenomenon in that its popularity never seems to wane, perhaps because it doesn't just attract hipsters...it is a hipster.
My favorite bar in SF – The bartenders are great, the place has a good vibe, and the back room / dance floor gets crazy. What else could you ask for? Oh and $2 Tecates :)
Rude Service - 1st and Last Time – Major attitude at the bar from the blonde bartender. Ok service from the her other colleagues. I was visiting from NYC and got harassed by the blonde bartender for whistling at the TV monitor. Never have I had a bartender in my face going over her ridiculous bar rules. My experience with my bartender was fine until this girl was all in my business. I definitely would not recommend this spot to anyone visiting..... save yourself the annoying service specially from the blonde chic..... spend your money wisely at another bar and have a drink somewhere else.
Best Music in SF on a Mon. Night – This is the best place to be after a bum out monday. The most mind easing music and atmosphere anyone could ever dream of in any SF bar. The bartenders are great people, and so is the DJ. The night starts off with mellow music and then progresses into a fun 60's psychedelic dance party. $2 Tecates are also an added bonus, so you can keep most of your paycheck! And if your the kind of guy who needs a pinball machine and pool table, they've thought of that aswell. Another thing that rocks is that there's a dance floor in the back that allows smoking! Mondays and Wednesdays are the best nights there. Come on down, you'll probably see me!!!
Good people, good service – Despite the time the poor drunk guy thought I was his destiny, I love this place. Always treated well and fair, solid service and no fluff. Thanks!
User review by lgrenawalt – I've been to this bar numerous times and everytime I love it. At first I just loved it for their affordable drinks, down to earth crowd and rocking music but I also love it for the great staff. I recently spent an evening at delirium and lost my favorite sweatshirt somewhere on the dancefloor. In any other situation I would have given up hope but by closing time the doorman had my sweatshirt waiting in his hand. If you haven't gone, go, it's a great place.
Service for the sick – Regardless of how sick you are or not, this place rocks. The music is good, the drinks are stiff and the bartenders are great. If this place was a pizza it'd be supreme. Yeah.
Best bar in the Mission! – Delerium is by far the best bar in the Mission! Drinks are reasonably priced all the time, but they have a great happy hour until 7 every day! DJ's are in every night and play a great variety (mostly rock) music with room for dancing and the jukebox rocks when the DJ's are gone. All of the bartenders are super hot and friendly (both guys and girls) and lots of cool people hang there! Totally worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.
Built for Speed – I recently discovered Thursdays here and just wanted to rave. The DJs are fun and play an eclectic mix, they also are really accomodating when it comes to requests. They bring a lot of stuff and play some rock, country, punk, reggae, metal, lounge, indie and electro/synth stuff. Lots of neighborhood people here and laid back atmosphere.
Be there before it happens.. – If you like a back-to-basics, no b.s. kinda bar with Dj's that kick butt then Delirium is the place to be without breaking the bank and more importantly, the yuppies haven't figured it out yet! This place is for those who like good rock and roll, cheap drinks, and great service without the typical S.F. attitude. Oh yeah, did I mention the back room is comfortably hidden away from the bar and pool players to create a completely intimate Dj experience.
Thursday Rocks! – Thursdays at Delirium have become my new favorite night! I live near there and have shown up for so many Thursdays that now the Dj's cheer when I enter the back room. They call their party Built for Speed, it's two cute girls and a guy. They are always dressed up and dancing and love to chat. They also decorate the backroom with all kinds of crazy images, it looks really cool. The best part is that they play so much random stuff, it is always a surprise.
a little something for everyone – great mission bar, good beer selection, and room in the back is great for dancing
good music – This place has nice bartenders, cocktails,a pooltable and DJs in the back room. There is always nice crowd.
dj heaven lounge in back – went there the other night with a few friends we had chimay on draft it was really good and strong played pool video games and went in the back room where they had the coolest dj lounge ive seen in a while we danced our asses off till closing had a great time delirium cocktails is a great place to party with friends and get cheap drinks i highly recomend it thank you............
Hot Bartender, Great Atmosphere – The people who hang here are cool, the bartenders are hot, and the drinks are cold. It's a great Mission location between Valencia and Guerrero. What more do you need?
great addition to Valencia row... – Delirium sits right near chillout neighbourhood bars and dark lounges like Dalva, and Casanova. Perfect place for getting together for spirits and pool. Not super crowded weeknights, but quite alive and fun.
