Reviews for Irazu

I found this place on accident and am so glad I did. Their very odd oatmeal milkshakey thing is worth a walk, drive, run or bike to Irazu.

Always packed for a reason! Food is fun & cheap (try the El Tico w/ ribeye & the delish oatmeal shake) and it's BYOB. Heads up: Cash only.

Best Steak Sandwich I've ever tasted – This is my favorite place to chow down on a nice juicy steak sandwich sauteed with some onions and hot peppers and nestled between 2 warm pieces of french rolls. On the side, the tostones (fried plantains with garlic) are just out of this world. But don't forget to ask for that secret sauce. I would definitely recommend this place for cheap eats and great horchatas. Friendly staff and great service. Go there early to beat the crowd.

Authentic, awesome – great food. family-owned authentic costa rican restaurant--definitely a niche that needs filling and has been gloriously by this quaint little spot that not enough people know about.

More Bang for the Buck – In the 7 years I've been eating at Irazu I've never left disappointed or hungry. The food is great, I recommend everything from the huge burritos to the garlic fried yuca and guanabana shakes. In fact you can all that for around $10. The family that runs the place is great and they always make you feel at home. So bring a friend and try something new, you'll be glad you did.
