I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing a vehicle from this dealer July 6, 2013 and have nothing but major problems that should have been remedied months ago. The VIN was either illegible or outright wrong on all of the sales documents. It's now the end of October and the dealer has failed to send me a license plate and registration. The Office of Motor Vehicles has put them in the mail to me as I got a ticket for no license plates, expired temporary tag, and expired brake tag. This dealer promised to purchase and install a new radio which broke before I could leave the lot, promised to fix the driver's side passenger seat which also broke before I could drive off the lot and change the kick plate under the driver's side dash in order to cover all of the exposed and dangling wires. To date, the dealer has only replaced the radio and caused me to drive to Kenner on at least four different occasions to fix the things he promised to no avail. I have filed a complaint with the Louisiana Attorney General's Office along with the Better Business Bureau. I suspect I probably won't have my issues resolved but it was worth a shot to me for taking advantage of a woman. Do yourself a favor; buy a vehicle from any other dealer in this state. Your blood pressure and anxiety levels with thank you.
im sorry i dont agree – i purchased a cadillac escalade they gave me payments lower than i expected ,went out of their way to help me as i was credit challenged and gave me a free warranty which ive had no problem's with at all i also purchased a car for my son w njo trouble at all and my father will be going their also. this place is A1 IN MY BOOK i will send everyone i know ! thank you jefferson autoplex !
RUDE! – I am an auto broker. I was hired by them to ship one of their customers vehicles. They are the absolute rudest dealership or customer for that matter that i have every spoken with. they cursed me out, called me every name in the book, called their own customer stupid, and spoke about my mother. I do not know how any company let alone a human being could every speak to someone in such a manner. This company has an F with the BBB and for good reason. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Thieves in business – I went to this place in 2005, they took my $3500.00 and wouldn't give it back because they said they needed more paperwork. This was after Katrina when this couldn't be accomplished, I even went as far as to put full coverage on the car. Please avoid these crooks
Getting the run around! – PLEASE don't ever buy a car here. There cars are crap and are sold as-is with no warranty of any kind. If you make the mistake of driving off the lot - there's no going back for repairs or your money back. Just as other reviewers have said - they threaten to call the police on you if you don't leave the property. So much for customer service!!!!! PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did and DO NOT ever buy a car at Jefferson Autoplex at Williams and Airline Drive..
good place to get ripped off – I bought a vehicle in May of 2009. Sticker price was 4550.00. After they finished with their financing the pay off was 6644.20. I did not get the paperwork until almost a week after I bought the vehicle & the sticker price went up to 4995.00. I have had nothing but problems with the vehicle! My financing was only for 15months.I put 1000.00 down & am paying 400.00 a month. It will soon be paid off. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO THEM!
Please Aviod this company – I went in to buy me a vehicle. The girl who was my sales person did not know the prices of any of the vehicles nor was there any prices listed on the vehicles. Finally I bought a 1999 GMC Jimmy. After test driving the vehicle I saw there was a water leak. I told the girl about it and she said that they would have it fixed for me the next day. Just to let you know I have not even got the keys for the vehicle yet. So I went in and the vehicle was in the mechanics shop and they said it was ready. I pulled off the lot and drove the vehicle to a relatives house and noticed a smell. It smelled like the vehicle was overheating. So I looked under the hood and noticed there was not any water in the vehicle. So I added water and noticed the water was leaking even more now than when I test drove it. So I called that Monday because it was a weekend when I got the vehicle and they were closed on Sunday. The girl who sold me the car was not there so another sales person got on the phone and basically told me that it was not there problem and the vehicle was sold as is and they would fix it for a fee. So I got mad and hung up the phone. I had someone look at the vehicle for me and found out that the head gasket was blown and it would cost me about 400 dollars for labor to get it done. So I did it myself and now I also find out that the battery and the brakes are bad " only had the car for about a week. Then After a few months I noticed that I have not recieved the title for the vehicle so I called in because i had to get my license plate and they have not even sent off the title or even got it notorized for me. They told me the reason why is because the girl who was supposed to send it off was fired and I would have to wait until monday to get the title when someone is in. I paid for the title already so now i have to wait longer.....
Please do not buy anything from this place my lesson is learned
I was Just Ripped Off By this Business! – I Purchased a Used car here after a trade on my Mint 2001 Toyota 4 Runner SR5 Out Of Need for A few Dollars During hard times and after taking the vehicle to my mechanic who is Master found #1 Electrical Short No head Or Tail Lights Or Horn! Major Problem/Leak With Brake system.
Slip In Transmission, Air bag Problem, Oil Problem, and IMMEDIATLY attempted to return the car to the dealer who told me it was slod AS IS and that if I didnt leave the Business they would call the Police and Have me arrested.
Worst Customer Service anywhere – I went in on a Wed. afternoon because they had THE car I've been looking for. The salesman assured me I was fine for in=house financing and it would be no later than Friday. He was not going to be in the next day so he handed the folder to Mike the finance manager and introduced me to him. I called on Fri. The salesman I dealt with was not there and the finance manager was not there but I was told my folder said pending until Mon. at 11. When I called Mon. I was told that the finance manager was not in and he has all the files locked up and no one can get to them. On Tues I was told the same thing but the sales person said they would check and call me back. No one ever did. My fiance called and spoke to Brian the sales manager and was told to "give hime one more day" On Wed. both me and my fiance spoke to Brian and were told that "Mike was a few minutes late and he would call me after he had spoken with him. No one ever called. On Thurs. we decided to get our own financing so after my finance company called them to get the information, they called me and told me they had sold the car because the salesman I had dealt with had quit and they didn't know about the deal. They then tried to sell me a beat up car with dents and rust and rusted out brakes. Leo the new salesman I was speaking to told me they would do the deal for the same down payment and trade in as on the other car but when we got inside Mike the finance manager asked me for another thousand down. Worst customer service in the world. They smile in your face and laugh behind your back.
Very dishonest – I personally had a terrible experience. The salesmen were very kind, but I was sold a vehicle that is in terrible condition. The salesman whom I began speaking to was pushed aside by another salesman and he got nothing fixed on the vehicle that was I was told would be fixed. After making a complaint against them I soon found out my complaint was included in a list of many complaints pending. I highly suggest taking your money somewhere else.
