Woman working at counter must be a villain – Not a family friendly comic book store. As I have twin boys that spend about 8 hours a day dressed up like super heroes I thought I would treat them to something fun from the comic book store. First of all, it was supposed to be open at 11am and it wasn't. Then when it was open, the evil woman working the register wouldn't let us in without leaving my purse by the door. Because, yes, I am going to steal something in front of my 4 year old boys???? Then she was irritated that one of my boys stepped up on her platform to look at a poster. He was not unruly, he was not going behind the counter, he just wanted to see the super heroes. I was told to "mind my children." So, bottom line is, it probably has nice stuff there but I was never allowed to even take a look. Too bad for them. I will spend my money elsewhere. A lesson in customer service and timeliness is in order for this store.

Nice store but... – It had been a while since I picked up some new comics and thought I'd go by to see what was showing up on the shelves. When checking out, I was asked if I wanted to keep the bags and boards on the comics that I was purchasing. At first I thought it a bit odd, "Of course I want to keep them bagged and boarded", as that is how they are placed on the shelf for consumption. I later realized that I was being charged 50 cents per item for them NOT having to remove the comics from the bags and boards. Mind you, they don't stock unbagged/unboarded comics on the shelves. To top it off, I was even charged a "bag/board" fee for a Marvel Essentials book that wasn't bagged or boarded, but simply shrink wrapped. There was no way to extract the book without destroying the shrink wrap. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man, but this appeared to be a little excessive.
