A great intrduction to Nepalese cuisine – Update 04/08 The son has recently taken over and brought in a new chef. The menu has been upgraded so we shared two new dishes, mahakali mango chicken ? oven baked chicken with fresh slices of mango in an onion and fennel seed base which is similar to chicken tika masala. Our second entree was saag ra dhiido ? braised lamb, sauteed spinach and Nepalese cornmeal (grits?). We have had several saag dishes in the past and usually the ingredients are mixed together, but in this dish each item stood alone. We requested a medium heat level, but neither entree was particularly hot. We also ordered naan and basmati rice. Service was very slow because our server, presumably the owner?s son, also served as maitre d and cashier.

04/07 This restaurant, located on Flamingo in a small shopping plaza, features the cuisine of both India and Nepal. We shared traditional Nepalese entrees of chili chicken and meat momo as recommended by Max Jacobsen. The waiter asked how spicy would we like our chili chicken ? Indian spicy was my reply. Wow ? call the fire department ? we are talking smoking hot! Each order of meat momo order includes 9 momos (I love that word) which are steamed dumplings stuffed with ground turkey and vegetables. We also ordered naan, 2 mango lassis (yogurt based beverages) and 2 desserts (khir and Lal Mohan). The former is basmati rice in milk with raisins and nuts and the latter is similar to or the same as Gulab Jamun, but a bit denser.

Great food, bare decor – Probably the best-tasting Indian food I've had in Vegas, although sadly that's not a very high bar here. They advertise their cuisine as "London-style," which emphasizes a different set of spices than your usual fare found in the States.

Their Korma to die for.

One complaint: the decor is plain and a little uncomfortable.

One of worst restauants in town! – This is the only place I've been to where the grill cook and staff laugh when they burn your food or where they assume you are unfamiliar with the food and bring you something other than what you ordered.

Their specialty stews contain more bones than meat, and the quality in general is simply not good.

When it first opened it was pretty good, now the portions and quality have shrunk while the prices have risen.....
