in burbank ... the only game in town – i can actually remember when there weren't movie theaters in burbank, then there was the first amc in the late 80s, finally we didn't have to go to noho or glendale anymore for movies. now there are like 30 screens in 3 locations! crazy. these are pretty good theaters. i think movies are overpriced in general, but they've proven to the backbone of revitalizing this area. the film strip guy that comes on before each movie is cute.
A good movie theater. First night releases are really busying though. To beat the line buy your ticket at the self serve kiosk. This theater does offer showing for enhance audio and visual experience.
I really like AMC theaters but the customer service here was pretty bad. I am black and when I bought my ticket, the blonde lady at the counter gave me a "reminder" that the ticket was only for one movie and that when it was over I had to leave and couldn't watch another without buying another ticket. I was confused as to why she was telling me this so I said "what?" and she repeated her "reminder" in a Jamaican accent and called me "mon." I'm not even from Jamaica.
Good theater. Good seats. Bathrooms are always clean and the parking is ample. Enjoy.
best theater in LA – One of the better theaters in LA. The tickets can be a bit pricey, but compared to other theaters in Burbank/Downtown LA its not THAT bad.
The place is pretty upkept and clean.
Each theater is pretty big and has amazing seating no matter where it is you sit, not to mention the chairs themselves are rather comfortable. Especially if its not that packed you can lift the armrest up and kinda lay down.
Probably the best IMAX theater I've been to as well.
Love the Ambiance, Hate the Parking – We love the experience once we are there but the parking is often difficult. With that in mind we went today, early evening on a Monday, to avoid the madness. The experience was great until we got back to our car and someone smashed the back corner. Few grand is what that night will cost us. Burbank needs to work on the problems of parking and security. I am hoping they had cameras rolling so we can catch the culprit on video tape.
Multiplex and megaplex theater chain shows mainstream movies in a plush setting. – In Short
In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.
Good movie theater experience – It was the first time I have ever been to the movies since I arrived in the US (I have never been to the US before)
and I really have enjoyed it! Generally I think that this is a pretty pricey kind of entertainment--also in Europe. Nevertheless the theater was provided with comfortable seats, the sound was not too loud and the theater hall was conveniently arranged. I liked the beverage container holder attached to every seat. It was nice to experience that people don't go to the late night show only.
Sparkling New Word-Class Megaplex – Despite surrounding construction, AMC's flagship Burbank theatre is a beautiful, convenient, and comfortable experience. Multi-tiered mega-stadiums show the newest blockbusters. A reliable place for lively, multi-screen midnight openings. Great, diverse restaurants surround the giant theatre. A short walk to the 3-story Media Center mall. One of the best summer blockbuster theatres in the entire Metro L.A. area.
Best theater in Burbank – This may actually be my favorite theater overall in the greater LA area. Now that I think of it, most other places I'm used to have terrible parking or little in the way of variety in nearby shops. Even on weekends, there's usually free parking in one of the many mall lots nearby, and a ton of restaurants. The theater itself is large, clean, and the screens are giant and the seats excellent. When I can't make it to the westside, I usually end up here.
in need of some tlc – while the rest of burbank was being torn down, the amc threatre moved a few yards north and rose from the rubble. however, three years and millions of viewers later, the theatre is back to a state of needing a little more tlc.
