Reviews for Due West Academy

After being treated extremely horrible by the front staff, I did some investigating in this school by consulting with a previous front office staff member, and a current member of the staff to learn that they write their own reviews!!! This is not heresay, this is fact. They stated that every so often Katie (the current director) either goes on review sites herself, or asks them to log on and write fake reviews in favor of the school. What a shame. If you look at the reviews on this site and many others you'll learn that there are many similarities in the posts. This is a pathetic tactic on their behalf, this place is horrible! Trust me!

**Notice: Just after a bad review yesterday Due West Academy created these "positive" reviews to follow RIGHT after the negative review. Not just on this site, on all the review sites! I'm sure there will be a post soon after this one, unless they notice we're on to them ;-). Shame

My husband and I spent weeks looking for the right school for our two girls. We came across Due West Academy via a friend and fell in love with the facility and staff. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable, energetic and loving. We feel certain that we made the right choice for our girls!

Due West Academy was one of the best choices we made for our child. Not only do we know our child is loved and learning something new every week the staff treats us like family. They are always very professional and happy. It is more than just somewhere to leave your child. We recommend them!

This school is a bit faulty. My nephew attended this school last year, when they only had a Georgia Pre-K program, when they were practically BEGGING parents to enroll their kids. Their classes were half full, and my sister was able to enroll her son mid-school year, no problems. This year my daughter is Pre-K eligible. She joined the "waiting list" for the Pre-K program for this year about a year ago. I dropped off her paperwork, and was promised that we had a spot this year. I called several times to ensure this, and was promised profusely that we had a spot. For the 2013 school year they started a paid pre-k program (where parents pay out of pocket). Miraculously, I was "bumped out" of the spot that I was promised for the Georgia Pre-K program, and told I can attend the "paid" program until a spot becomes available. That wouldn't be a problem, if it wasn't so suspicious. To add to that, my nephew owed the school a balance for lunches, which is his mother's responsibility, not mine. The woman actually mentioned "you can't say your family has been supportive of this school when your nephew owes a balance that was never paid". Unbelievably rude! My nephew has absolutely NOTHING to do with me in terms of payments. His mother is responsible for his payments, and the fact that she did not pay his balance has nothing to do with my ability to pay my daughter's bills. The treatment I received by this school, the utter disregard for respect and people's time has been unreal. My husband and I make over $130,000 a year, we can pay our bills! They were so eager to be judgmental, money-hungry, and hold another person's bill against us that they didn't realize they missed out on a wonderful child who has very successful and supportive parents. We would have been extremely supportive to this school. What a shame. Goddard School, here we come!

I am so glad that I chose to bring my son to DWA. He is growing and learning so much. I am glad that my son is in good hands with the staff and teachers at DWA. Best decision I could have made.

My kids and I LOVE DWA... great teachers! – My kids have attended other daycare centers, but DWA is by far the best. My kids are well cared for and learning leaps and bounds! The teachers love the kids and the management team is accommodating and caring.

BIG MISTAKE....Research before sending you child – DO NOT send your kids here, myself and several other parents are extremely discouraged and unhappy with the new management. They are cold/uninviting and should not be associated with running a daycare. They have increased tuition without a courtesy warning. There are many family's that have to budget their monthly expenses and to walk into your child's daycare facility and get handed a bill $200+ more than you were paying is unacceptable. What happened to common courtesy/customer service? I had to pull my oldest three years ago due to the management at that time, then two years ago I gave DWA another chance since I heard it was again under new management and let me tell you, I couldn't of been happier and my daughter absolutely loved going. Now once again under "New Management" and it has suddenly turned into a nightmare. The New Director, Katie, truly has no personality, does not interact with children or most importantly the parents. You walk in the building and feel the heaviness in the air, no more cheerful greets, teachers seem and have commented on how miserable they are. So again, before you consider DWA talk to some long time parents before signing your child up in the hands of these morons. Miss Yvette is the only saving grace right now and I wish her the best.

Hands down the best childcare in GA – LOVE DWA. The teachers are all fabulous. They provide more than just childcare, they also genuinely love the children. This is the absolute best daycare in GA.

My kids love this place – I sent my daughter here to pre-k and she love it. Everybody smiles and says hello to you. Several times I brought my 3yr old with me to read to my girl's pre-k class and he can't wait till he starts there. My daughter's teachers, Ms. Heather and Ms. Lisa, are awesome. They really pour there heart into these kids. The staff is so helpful and are always there to answer any questions.

Plus it right next to an ice cream stand.
