got my shop on! – Banana Republic is one of those stores that I usually shy away from, but yesterday I went in with my sister who was looking for some stylish clothing for her husband – the usual stuff shirts, belts, slacks and a jacket or two. Well we didn’t find anything for him, but there were lots to choose from – however, we got waylaid by women’s department, and just didn’t have time to worry about his fashion issues. I fell in love with their dresses, which looked great for work- stylish and pretty, but cool enough for the summer heat.
The casuals were great too – I walked away with shorts, super soft tank tops, and some really comfortable shorts, which looked great on me. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not too, and as anyone who knows me is well aware it’s a pet peeve of mine when salespeople hover. I’ll be going back sooner than later….
Good store, large selection – Big store with a large selection . The staff is very nice and always ready to help you if you need anything.
BR/Gap card trouble – i would suggest all BR/Gap card holder be careful about using your cards. this is an important message because it may save your credit rating. i received both my Dec & Jan bills on the same day. i called the # on the back of the bill and asked the CS rep, Mike, that the late fee incurred in the Jan bill should be waived. He immediately said "No." and continued to pin full responsibility on me for not receiving Dec's bill. He told me if I make charges, I should have known what the closing date is and to expect a bill. If I don't receive one, it is my responsibility to notify them. Mike was a liar, so I told him to cancel my card. he gladly accepted my cancellation w/o contest. He was indifferent when I told him that I will relay this experience to friends who are also Banana Republic & Gap customers and own these credit cards. He has little regard to any future business that he is about to lose.
this was not the first time BR card mess up my credit. last year my address was misprinted and I never received my bill for four months. every moth I called to correct my address but they keep sending it to the wrong address and charged me late fees and interest.
the only benefit i like having the BR card are the free alterations, but it is no longer worth the grief and aggravation.
