Demeaning – I have never felt so disrespected at any salon in my life as I had at James Barber Shop. Upon walking in, I already had an uneasy feeling as I was eyed by both the barber and a woman who worked there. I sat down and explained my cut. He noticed that I had dry skin, which I must tell you is not uncommon. At that moment, he told me he could not service me, because I had dry skin. I offered to lotion my skin, but he said that there was no way he could service me. This is absolutely unacceptable. Do not go here if you like to feel welcome at an establishment.
No frills, just good cut – A classic barber shop, as old scool as they get. Big plate glass windows, barber chairs, and a great haircut. No acting/modelling school dropouts or wannabes to massage your scalp, but what do ya expect for 12 bucks?
Perfect cut – gotta love this place.....12 bucks for a haircut from someone that didn't learn to cut hair in the Navy....great deal.
best haircut I've ever had – Never in my whole life has has a barber been so careful cutting my hair. He took a long time, but the result was immaculate. I highly recommend this barber shop to anyone in the mid-wilshire area. A great bargain at $12.
