Congratulations, you found a good reason to deny a claim; coverage lapsed! Your customer service is terrible, why did you not tell callers "your insured" did not have coverage, instead you treated her like "gold", basically covered for her 3 days and made matters even worse for everyone involved. If you are considering insurance with this company, DON'T! Take a long, hard look at the negative reviews, your cost may be cheap, but do you want to be associated with a place that has such a bad reputation.
I hope none of ya'll have this tied to your car insurance: United Automobile Insurance Services. They are the worst to deal with your claim !!! 1st of all, their policyholder that hit my car was in the WRONG. 2nd, they appraise my car in no time, but took almost 2 months to give me my check to repair my CAR !!! I only spoke to the adjuster TWICE !!! I constantly left messages for her to return my calls. This heifer didn't return my calls until I wanted to speak to her SUPERVISOR !!! Sooooo, I get the check today. Why they had the nerve to have some funky ass letter attached saying its a DRAFT, not a CHECK. It had to be deposited. Ok, cool. Now the draft check is in my mother's & I names. I call them to ask a question about it. This heifer tells me that my mother has to endorse it as well. MY MOTHER IS DECEASE, YOU IDIOTSSSS !!! When the dumb ass adjuster ask if it was ok to have her on it as well, I said fine because I'm the executor of the estate. SHE DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MY MOM HAVING TO SIGN THE DUMB THING AS WELL !!! If she would of said that, I would of gladly sent her the necessary documents to get my mother off the check !!! UGHHHHH, DEY DONE PISS ME DA HELL OFF !!! Now I gotta fax them the documents, & void the check. Probably gotta wait ANOTHER MONTH & A HALF TO SEND ME THE DAMN CHECK AGAIN !!! Please avoid any cost to have an accident with anyone with this CRAPPY insurance services !!!
United Automobile Ins HORRIBLE – Fraudulent isn't enough. They insure people with no license to drive in ANY country. My claim got handed off to 6 agents before someone was knowledgeable to make me a low offer.
They are so shady, they use fake names for the people that you speak to at their office so that they can't be tracked. one guy told me one name the other said his name was something else. They need to get their script straight.
Their whole business model is to wait people out until they get too tired of waiting. If you get a lawyer that may be better. I wouldn't know. I wish I could prosecute them in court. This is the kind
United automobile insurance services suck – This place sucks ass. They do the whole process of estimates and sending you a check for a low amount before you even receive a call from the adjuster to set up a time to check out your vehicle. Leo Garza, Kimberly Price, Damen Johnson, and Sylvia Tonche are a bunch of ignorant people. Already filed claim with TDI and waiting to hear back. Will probably have to sue driver for repairs. Just like all the others said, this place is a ripoff. DO NOT deal with them if you dont have to. This place just flat out sucks. They do not return phone calls or ever answer the phone. Never a manager there that can actually do something besides read their policy to you. Bunch of azzholes.
ditto to all the others – accident early april, indignate, inflamatory attitudes, deceiptful statements about other party in accident placing fault for delay in resolution, twisting words out of context, reciept of demand letter and voice mails then not leaving return numbers or addresses of towing, falsely stating that rental car is not available for reimbursement when their driver caused accident, ignoring my counter claim for funds, demands not concurrent w/ TX law, allegations of deceipt on my part . . . no resolution to their fault of accident 4 months later, not certifying the vaule of my car and just using the lowest value to determine my car worth
UAIC a scam – I was struck by a UAIC driver. I reported the incident to UAIC who said they could do nothing until their driver reported it. Their driver reported the accident in person the next day. According to him he was advised by Alisha Rodriguez-Alba not to respond to me or my insurance company. This was after she advised me that UAIC accepted liability and to send receipts for repairs. After they received the receipts I was advised that they could not cover as the driver did not "contact them in an appropriate amount of time" (he reported the accident 8 hours after). I later filed with my insurance once I realized UAIC was playing games. My insurance assessed the damage (since it was viewed by them after the repairs were done) at my current deductible. I was informed that they could not process the claim under uninsured until UAIC officially denied the claim. The accident happened 6 months ago and they still will not cooperate with my insurance company. The driver has skipped town, likely per advice from UAIC. Alisha Rodiguez-Abla has since been fired and the new adjuster does not return calls, emails or letters. This place is a scam and I would encourage anyone who has purchased a policy from them to go elsewhere, you are not truly insured.
Service in name only – The experiences of other posters correlate with mine. A month after the accident and 2 weeks after providing UAIC with a copy of the police report they have yet to issue a clam denial so that I can have my car repaired under my uninsured motorist coverage. Be aware that non-standard auto insurance companies in TX can write policies limiting coverage to only those drivers specified on the policy. Apparently makes no difference if the insured driver is in the vehicle, but not driving. With policies like this on Texas vehicles you are pretty much forced to carry uninsured motorist coverage.
Criminal Activity at this company – I was rear ended at a red light. I was at a complete stop. The person that rear-ended me was insured by united, did not speak english, and did not show a TDL. I spoke to united, received a claim number, and an appointment for an estimate. I kept that appointment in good faith - never heard from an adjuster. After many unreturned phone calls the adjuster finally contacted me to tell me my claim was denied because the man who ran into me said i put my car in REVERSE and ran into him - a fraudulent statement. i have 2 witnesses to testify to the truth but United will not contact them because they work at the same company i do - the accident occurred 2 miles from my office during lunch hour. i have filed a complaint with TDI and the Fraud unit of TDI, and the Better Business B, and ICE. This policy was good for 30 DAYS!!! United is taking money from questionable consumers and refusing to pay legitimate claims. I will file a complaint in every state they do business in.
I encourage ALL of you to file complaints. Better Bus B refused to pursue this - I am still waiting on TDI to determine what that outcome will be. I have kept all of my documentation. I will go to the media and expose this company next. They are accepting false statements (a felony) and are accessories to these crimes. They will be held responsible.
Motorcycle Accident – I was sideswiped by a driver with this insurance company back on March 14, 2008. Broke my foot, messed up my bike, she got a ticket and another biker was an eyewitness. I hired a local law firm to handle my case. After 7 months they get a letter from United Automobile Insurance Services claiming they cant get in touch with there insured and deny the claim and that my only recourse is to either submit the claim to my insurance company or go after there insured directly. My lawyer (the lame duck he is) sends me a letter dropping my case. So 7 months later, my bikes still wrecked, my foot still has a lump on it and Im back at friggin square one with these scammers. Needless to say I am filing all the complaints I can.
Regardless of fault, do not pursue a claim with this company!!! – I'm currently entangled with this hoax of a company. I've had every bit of the same issues that people have listed below. A few things I've learned: Do NOT let them tell you they will only pay you $25.00/day for a rental car. I have confirmed with the Texas Department of Insurance that if the insurance company accepts legal liability for the accident, they HAVE to cover a rental that is comparable to your vehicle, whatever that costs. The same goes for the length of time that you have the rental. United tried to tell me that they would only cover a vehicle for 30 days. This is false. According to the TDI, they have to cover the full length of time your car is in the shop whether that is 2 months or 10. I was not at fault in this accident and this was the other person's insurance company but I should have made the claim on my own insurance and let them pursue this insurance company. I would have been out the deductible up front but they would have recovered it for me plus gotten my car repaired in a proper and timely fashion, covered my rental and saved me countless hours on the phone and headache. I STRONGLY recommend anyone that reads this do the same. United has held my car hostage for 2 months now by not paying for the last of the repairs. Now that its hopefully almost over, I can only say STAY ON THEM if you are already involved in a case with them. And I mean every day. They will be rude and condescending (supervisor Keith) but know your facts and don't let up. Its the only way I've been able to get anything done.
