dope shoes! – just scored some dope zuriick and toms shoes here. the staff was really knowledgable and very friendly. not sure why i havent been here yet, but am stoked that i found the shop. parking was easy with a large free lot directly in the back. they also have a great mens selection, but i was focused on my shoes.
not so good. – meh. overpriced clothing. snotty workers. store doesn't really have a great selection at all. i don't know where these people are coming from who like this place. they don't have hardly any vintage at all and maybe like two small racks of overpriced dresses. couldn't find one thing for my boyfriend.
we just read your review and are so sorry you didn't have a good experience at our shop. if i could take some more of your time, could you suggest what could have made it better for you?
should you shop in the area again, we do have a parking lot in the back of the shop that is free until 4 p.m. and $2.50 thereafter. there is also a parking lot across the street behind atmosphere & the vermont.
currently, we have bulked up on merchandise both vintage and new. our vintage selection has been small over the past few months and we are trying to keep up with the demand for vintage. special orders are a large part of our business too, so if you have any suggestions or are looking for something you can ask a salesperson.
happy holidays and a happy new year.
love, una mae's
Always fashionably retro--from Holly Hobby dresses to classic denim--contemporary indie designers blend with vintage and iconic brands. – In Short
When Karen Prendergast expanded her Chicago boutique, independent designers and fans of '70s-inspired style got a boost. The roomy storefront sports exposed beams, a comfy sofa and bookcases stocked with scented candles and blank journals. Vintage Granny dresses, Kenzie wedgies and sassy silver pocketbooks share space with metallic, psychedelic longsleeved Lure tees, Wrangler and Levi's Premium jeans, Y2K T-shirts, puffy Down Designs ski vests and eclectic jewelry from Jamie Rodriquez, Gentle Fawn and more.
I love this store! – Every month, I try save part of my paycheck to buy a cute outfit at this store. They always have something cool and unique looking. I appreciate the customer service -- friendly, but not pushy. For such a stylish boutique, the prices are really good, too. It's a really charming place to shop.
finally an affordable place to shop!!! – I lived in los angeles for a long time, and have been frustrated by the prices in most boutiques. it like the whole town thinks everyone is a movie star earning millions per movie. i was so excited to find una mae's, who carries everything from shoes to jeans and tees, good quality at affordable prices. I finally dont feel like im getting scammed. plus the sales staff are really cool and not pushy and they listen to good music!
Great Find – I felt so lucky the day I stumbled across Una Mae's. They have an amazing selection of affordable vintage clothing. For anyone looking for that special something you thought you couldn't afford I recommend you check this place out!
Cozy and refreshing – If your looking for a boutique with friendly service and a casual but hip environment, this is the place! Vintage and new.
