totally tastey – i love to eat pakistani food and trully i enjoyed at naan and curry. Naan n curry means tasty food always , you can enjoy in berkeley and san francisco. i want to recommand all people who want to eat indian and pakistani food they can taste originally at Naan N curry.
thank you naan n curry , you make my home land and now i dont miss it after tasting your food
Filthy – I cannot deny the food... hot, spicy, generous, my top 3 requirements. But the people are rude, a bit on the ignorant side, and the place could use a little cleaning.... Vic's and others are much better, but also more upscale. Separate reviews for them.
Amazing & Authentic Indian! – I'm no expert on Indian food but I went with a whole bunch of my Indian friends, who all said it was pretty authentic. The people working there are very friendly and although the place looks a bit rundown, the Indian music makes it all better. Once you step in, there's a warm, welcoming scent of yummy Indian food! The price is really good. Naan for a dollar! and it's a really good size. In the east bay, you can't find naan like that. They're all really small and at least $1.50. I ordered the chicken tandoori and it was awesome. The flavors are amazing. Adding splashes of lemon juice helped it a lot too. eating it with the naan was wonderful. Just plain naan was satisfactory as the chicken was really flavorful. The spiciness level was amazing too. It had spice but not too much; not so much that i need water after every bite but enough to feel the heat. The samosas were really good too, but they didn't come with sauce. They were a bit spicier than the chicken but it was all good. The lamb shish kebab was more of a sausage and was also spicier like the samosas but it was still amazing. I love Naan N Curry! It's so cute and delicious. I would go back to Berkeley just for naan n curry. :)
Although the food is cheap the taste of the food is lousy. – Being an indian and knowing the real taste of indian food Naan and Curry is very mediocre. The Naan is good, but the food is gross. What I ordered was the Tikka Chicken Masala. The Chicken was NOT marinated and grilled plain just like what you can find on typlical salads and seemed to be just thrown in the premade tikka curry once you order the dish cauing no tastiness to the chicken. There was absolutly no flavor. I will Never Go Here Again Especially the Berkley location.
Addicting – I have never tried anything here that I haven't loved. The Naan is always perfect, never too crispy and their chicken Masala is a staple. I love that they have free chai tea that you can refill whenever you need to-it goes great with anything spicy. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
Great food, easy seating, no atmosphere – I am not an expert in Indian food, but what I got there was really nice and tasty. When you enter the restaurant, you would not believe it is so delicious as there is an atmosphere like in a waiting hall. The cost-benefit relatio is very good, though. No place for romantic dinners, but good with friends.
pros: food, prices
cons: atmosphere, parking
Absolutely great food! – This place has the best indian food I've had. I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Massala. It's good to know that there are still a few restaurants that have great food, and don't cost a fortune. I just wish they had a Naan N Curry in the South Bay!
like London – Dollar price raise not justified, otherwise, in the words of a friend, "reminds" one "of Indian food in London."
Best CK Tikka Masala – I've been to Naan N Curry in Berkeley too many times to count, but I continue craving it. Best Chicken Tikka Masala ever, and they give you so much sauce to dip in.
Garlic naan is THE BEST I've ever had - nothing else compares.
The best indian food!!! A+++++++++++++ – The best indian restaurant i ever ate so far in bayarea! the chicken bryani rice and onion naan are worth trying!! mannnnn... so spicy and good! good flavor, excellent spiciness, awesome portion, clean and big restaurant, self-serve... goshh.. i'm hungry now as i'm typing.
i love spicy food but the food in naan-n-curry has the spiciness that i always want to eat. go try and i'm sure u'll love it!!!!! A+++++++++++++++++
