It's not what it use to be. I went there a few weeks ago and to my surprise, there were alot of under aged kids wearing flip flops and baggy torn jeans.... Grant it, it's been a while since i've been there...but it has really went down. Don't think i'll be hangin there anymore...

Great club bad dressed bouncer. The club was fun, the drinks were great and the music was hot. There was one bouncer there with a mullet. Yes ladies and gentlemen, A MULLET! First black guy I've ever seen with a mullet. He must drive a camaro or mini truck. Anyway, other than the ugly staff, it was fun. hahaha

mixed crowd. downstairs has that russian communist feeling, get the russian roulette drink! 12 bucks but its huge! see it to beleive it. downstairs is the lounge and upstairs is the dancing. the lighting is pretty bad but itll do. the crowd is very mix, its a great crowd really. the prices seems ok fair to me. i have a lot of fun when i come here. im sure you would too. the dj's should play the songs longer though.

A trendy Midtown club blending a historical setting, moderately priced drinks and an eclectic mix of music.. The Scene
A waitress in a fur bikini stands behind a cast-iron beer tub backed by an image of a Russian peasant. The first floor martini lounge is a luxurious reproduction of the tsar's palace decorated with Bolshevik propaganda. Siberia, once the land of ice and punishment, has been reincarnated as a second floor VIP room. Covered in textured blue glass and featuring a floor filled with gelatinous liquid, this icy alcove is one of the more creatively designed VIP rooms in town. The dance floor is crowded, much to the delight of the frenetic dancers.

The Draw
The rooftop patio may be in danger of becoming a design cliché in Midtown, but for now few clubs can boast a better view of downtown than Red Star's third floor vista.

My Opinion. I love it. It is an 18 and up club but its the cleanest looking crowd I have ever seen. They even offer bottle service. They have the best music playing on all 3 floors all hip hop. I went there to meet Alex from MTV's Real World Denver and I actually got to talk to him for a while. They have a new celebrity or theme party every week. Everyone that works there is good looking and friendly. They have turned me into a Red Star junkee. I highly recomend this club its the only club in Midtown that you can actually dance at.. They even have desifgnated stage areas for girls only to dance on. I HIGHLY RECOMEND YA TO CHECK THIS CLUB OUT

??????. WELL IT DOES HAVE GOOD PARKING, THAT IS ALWAYS A PLUS FOR MID-TOWN. THE CLUB WAS NICE AND I DO AGREE ABOUT THE DRINKS. VERY WATERED DOWN. THE MUSIC WAS NOT SO HOT. THIS CLUB IS THE KIND OF PLACE IF YOU JUST TURNED 18 YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST. IF YOU ARE 22 AND UP THIS IS NOT YOUR SCENE. IT WAS NOT THAT CROWED AND DOWNSTAIRS HAD A NICE LOUNGE AREA.

cameron from Laguna Beach was there. Cameron from MTV'S LAGUNA BEACH WAS THERE!!!!

So i heard that this club was having Cameron host the party but i didnt beleive it so I went last night and i was extremely surprised to not only see Cameron but that he was actually talkling to people. I even got a pic and a kiss from him.

This club is hype. This was my first time to go and I have to give respect when needed . This club gets mad props from me. Im usually a bit bitchy as to going to clubs (especially 18 and up) but this place is actually a classy joint. They have 3 levels and diffrent dj's playing music. They had like the video to the song plying at the same time you were hearing it and as the dj switched songs so did that songs video. May not sound like much of a big deal now but after 4 patrons i wanted to dance like they were on the video. Its nice to go to a nice place with cool people not the usual wanna be ballers out there at the snobby clubs.Even though i live in the Woodlands and this club is in Midtown i'll gladly drive down there from now on at least once a week. I also loved how they have stage areas for only girls so its nice to be able to dance without some perv tryuing to grind all on me. Check this place out

snobby bouncers, bums on the street, and no parking lot. It's very obvious the people leaving good reviews on here are associated with the owners. look, all 3 posts below me are in all caps and written on the same day all saying how great their parties are. I'm sure that's random!

As for the bar, it looks great on paper - it really does. close to town, nice setting, etc. but unless you're willing to tip the bouncer 20 bucks or you're going to sleep with him (if you're a girl..i think), you have to put up with the usual BS of standing in line to make the place look good and wait to get in. I really wish they'd knock that bs out. when you go in, the music is very tired and over played-mostly the same rap that may have been cool 3 years ago. The bartenders are rude as hell too and for whatever reason think that working at trendy place makes them feel trendy too. you get paid to put liquid from the big bottle into the little glasses so lose the attitude.

Other notes, you'll make great friends with the bums sleeping in the alley's around the building if you don't valet. There is a bathroom tax of $1 if you're going to the bathroom since they have one of those annoying people that stand there while you whizz And you'll get to celebrate communism and give a big F U to your grandpa who fought in wwii. great time!

for all preferences. although it's an old venue, it's a tried-and-true place. the downstairs room is dark and trendy, cloaked in trance music and mysterious russian vibes. plush couches are perfect for lounging. the 2nd tier is nothing but straight hip-hop fueling a very crowded dance floor. doors open up to an outdoor patio for a quick breather. then on to the 3rd tier, a small patio/bar to take in the breathtaking panoramic view of downtown. red door definitely caters to all preferences!*
