In Short
Named for a mountain range in the Canadian Rockies, this restaurant's interior has the atmosphere of a rustic hunting lodge. Talking animal heads provide side-show entertainment, but the primary attraction is the steak: prime cuts of sirloin, T-Bone, ribeye and prime rib. Hungry patrons are satiated by large portions of spit-roasted chicken, grilled salmon and Canadian jambalaya. Dessert lovers indulge with the chocolate "moose" cake, decadent layers of white chocolate mousse.
Steak House. I've eater here twice. The first time was a big salad that was way too salty. I gave it a second chance and tried the fish tacos. They were really dry and bland. I won't be going back.
Okay food, below average service & an obnoxious bison!. Food was okay- kind of greasy, but not too bad- I've had worst. The service was definatly below average. Very slow & not attentive. The worst part thought was a huge electric bison hung on the wall that starting talking, very loudly, every 15 mintues or so- very distruptive. The bad definatly out weighed the good- we won't go back.
Delicious Food in a Den of Eternal Horror. As you raise the glistening ruby slab of perfectly aged filet mignon to your lips, your attention is suddenly pulled away from the delicious steak by a horrible animatronic moose head shrieking at you. You cut another slice of the perfect beef as the entire wait-staff converges on a table next to yours, singing an inane and mind-shattering song while shoving a giant moose puppet into the face of the "birthday boy", a man of forty who looks like he wants to die. That's pretty much Bugaboo Creek in a nutshell. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts are all quite wonderful for a chain restaurant...if you can put up with the eye-searing tackiness of the ambiance. Sometimes, when you're feeling kitchy and tacky doesn't turn you off, Bugaboo is a great pick.
