Reviews for Subway

Lunch time needs some help. – For the last year or so I visit this Subway at least 2x a week for lunch. I have never been here outside of the lunch time period, so my review is mainly for that. There are a few good things and a few bad.

The good:

1) Dan. This guy has been here for a while now and I believe is the manager during the day. He usually greets people upon entry, even if his greeting his half sincere because he is making 3 sandwiches at once. He is speedy and typically makes your sandwich the way it should be made. I hope they pay this guy well.

2) Good soda fountain mix. Not too syrupy or carbonated. This may sound trivial, but it matters.

3) Next door is Starbucks. So if you have a cell phone or computer that has WiFi, it?s close enough to use inside Subway.

4) Its on trendy third, so you typically get some decent looking people in there to flirt with/stare at/smile at/ or what have you.

The bad:

1) This place can get really busy. If you get there exactly at 12:00, be prepared to stand behind 10 people. They move fast behind the counter, but you can only make a sandwich so quickly. I would recommend going around 11:15 or so to beat the rush.

2) Parking, but again, it?s on trendy third. So parking anywhere kinda hurts.

3) Aside from Dan and one other girl (don?t know her name, short perky girl with a pony tail usually, been there while) most of the people are not there for very long and they seem to have high turn over. This results in people that either don?t know how to make a good sandwich or start to break under the pressure of working in a relatively busy Subway. A good chunk of them also turn cranky.

4) The music. If you really love country, this place is for you. They ALWAYS have the country station on and 75% of the time it is WAY too loud for such a small shop.

5) Watch out for previous day?s bread. If you do get there early to beat the rush, they sometimes still have bread from the previous day, and needless to say it?s always stale.

Sandwich chain offers healthy alternatives for diners on the go. – In Short
Subway's health-conscious menu is built around greaseless deli sandwiches--turkey, chicken, roast beef, etc.--made on soft rolls baked daily in-house. Customers pick white, wheat or a specialty bun, name the length, choose the toppings and watch as the sandwich moves down the assembly line. Wraps, melts, salads and chips by the bag diversify the streamlined menu. And despite the bread factor, Subway boasts numerous successful weight-loss stories and low-carb menu items.
