Slick Wrigleyville sports bar wins with ballpark nosh faves. – This is a sports-fan's sports bar. Die-hards in baseball hats and jerseys gather here to worship the gods of Wrigley in style. Contemporary decor, including exposed brick, smooth, wood-paneled walls and gleaming wooden floors is embellished by little besides the framed color photographs of celebrities singing the seventh-inning stretch. The games du jour are shown religiously on thirteen wide-screen TVs throughout the bar. Groups of buddies nosh on stellar American pub fare such as quesadillas topped with pico de gallo and avocado, or the bar's thick, fresh Angus burgers, which, in an homage to the neighborhood, sport names like Clark and Waveland.
A must when out in Wrigleyville!!!!! – This place is one of my favorites in Wrigleyville. The bartenders are quick and the service is awesome! The servers are always friendly and always attentive. When I was there I got one of their pizzas, and would reccommend the food to everyone. If you are looking for somewhere to go during the week for a drink after work or just with a group of friends, this is the place to go. If you are looking for good music and a fun, friendly environment on the weekend then Tryst is your place as well. I will for sure be going back in the near future!
Best lounge in Wrigley!!! – This is a great upscale lounge located in sports bar central. It's one of Chicago's best kept secrets! Great staff, great food (try the pesto pizza), and a fun atmosphere (especially during the Michigan State games!!). They have great specials too ($5 martinis when I was there and I know they have $6 pitchers of beer during the State games). This is a great bar if you are a little older and want to skip the college bar feel of most of the other bars in the area.
Tryst is by no definition high scale – Tryst likes to pretend it's high class, but really, any lounge that would have $3 u-call-its is cheap. The space is narrow and stuffy, the crowd is pretentious and need to put their money where their mouth is. Bartenders and bouncers who work there need to get off their high horse and just accept the fact that they're working at a college bar.
Cool-Chic, the place to be on a weekend night – I love this unpretentious nightspot. In this upscale, south beach-feel atmosphere, i felt i could relax and have a good time without feeling as if i was amongst "Stuffed Shirt" types. The people were cool and only want to have a good time. Tryst is not overpriced in any way. The menu was excellent, the food was delicious and just the right size for a bite while enjoying my drink. The girls were plentiful and everyone was having a great time.
Best bar near Wrigley!! – I've been to Tryst several times and the crowd ranges on any given night. The atmosphere is always great. Weekend crowd ranges in age and is a little more upscale than the average bar. Tryst is a great place to go after Cubs games too. After a recent game on a Friday afternoon, there was live music and it was packed.
good times – Was there last Saturday night. Music was great, vibe was great. Didn't feel like meat market, but there were plenty of girls to talk to.
This intimate two-room Wrigleyville lounge boasts minimalist-chic decor, good beer and martini selections, and a clientele of single 20-somethings. – In Short
Dozens of candles, sleek banquette seating and a retractable flat-screen TV lend refinement to this intimate two-room lounge. The martini list features a dozen delights for the coiffed 20-something clientele, but six taps and more bottles sate traditional beer-drinkers. A food menu offers shi-shi dishes like scallop and strawberry salad with poppyseed glaze, though most patrons stick to a diet of eye candy while here.
