Pleasant, friendly, good for kids – We didn't know there were two C&O restaurants. That Tratoria is, apparently, further west down Washington (and solely patio seating?). The Cucina, however, is more restaurant-like in that you are inside, etc. We opted for the Cucina and weren't disappointed. We were seated right away (about 6:45pm on a Friday night). We have a two-year-old who enjoyed drawing on the paper place mats with the crayons provided at each table. Our waiter was friendly and the someone who appeared to be the owner or manager checked in with us probably two or three times about how our meal was, etc. That was nice. I ordered the fire grilled shrimp, which I thought was great. My wife had lasagna. We had plenty between us to also feed our daughter. We'll go back.

Not a cheap eats. – I was expecting a lot from C & O since it received a 9.2 rating under the cheap eats category. I personally do not think it should be categorized as a cheap eats, but the portion of the food is much more compared to other restaurant. The free garlic rolls were not that great. They should have made it softer, the rolls were quite hard. It could be me, but I prefer my bread soft. My friends seem to like it, but my favorite Italian restaurant is still Palermos in Hollywood.

So much better than the trattoria – So, its better looking...not as busy...friendly servers. Thats Amore! The trattoria has its place as a gathering spot for some random friends birthday, but the Cucina is a place you and a friend can go for dinner. My favorite part was the bar/ lounge- attractive, great bartender, and the best happy hour. Great food for cheap and GOOD drinks too- try it from 4-7pm. I love to avoid traffic there. Yes, the portions are huge and the actual dishes not much to write home about- but tender calimari (no tenticles), amazing garlic rolls and stiff drinks!

THE place for mediocre food and crowd noise – Some reviewers say this place is romantic... sure, if your idea of romantic is not being able to have a conversation with your date because the ambient noise is like being at a pro football game.

The food was just as disappointing -- the portions are big, but so what when the sauces are bland.

Great little bar next door – My friend and I came across this very hip "rat pack" tribute bar attached to C/O. You

can have your food served in there, too! GREAT martinis and awesome decor!! A must stop by if you're on Washington Blvd and wanna grab a tini and nosh on some garlic rolls.

Cute and trendy little hang out bar!!!!!! Bar scene great for dates and ladies/guys night out!

Always Disappointed – I love the Original C&O, but when I'm feeling lazy and not wanting to deal with the parking down at the Original, I lose my mind and go to the Cucina instead. I am always disappointed. Today I was treated to a salad that must have been waiting under a very hot heat lamp for quite some time. This C&O is notorious for double or triple frying their garlic rolls instead of making fresh ones if you go during off hours. Someday I'll learn my lesson but hopefully I'll help one person not to make the same mistake.

BIG PORTIONS, small flavor – After MUCH hype, I decided to visit. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the actual taste of the food. If you go for big meals come here & if you want bland tasting sauce... come here.

Very disappointing – The garlic bread was amazing, but it's all downhill from there. Once seated, we waited for 90 minutes to FINALLY get our food, which was very mediocre. We had a large group and one of our members didn't receive their food when everyone else's came. After 15 minutes without the waitstaff even returning to see how everything was, we went to find the manager who said it had been cooked wrong. When the dish eventually arrived at the table, it wasn't the one that was ordered!

My chicken parm was like a reheated fried pattie. It was not fresh or tender at all. The sauce and pasta were good, but the dish just wasn't interesting. The gargonzola salad was decent, but drenched in dressing. Overall, our experience was negative- Bad service and uninspired food (for the price). There are many places in the area with better food and comparable prices.

I highly recommend – It's L.A., traffic is horrible or maybe I was just fashionably late, anyhow we came here for my birthday and our whole party did not arrive until 45 mins after the time our reservation was set for. You would think that they'd be mad or that they would have given out table away, but they hadn't. They were great! The energy, the food, it was all perfect. To top it off, the chocolate cake was delicious...try it! We had minor issues with the bill..ie. extra orders of food and drinks, but they quickly took care of that. I cannot believe how attentive they were. Everyone should definitely try this.

Festive spot for well-priced Italian feasts and endless garlic rolls. – The Scene
When there's a wait at hyper-popular C&O Trattoria, this nearby offshoot is ready to handle the overflow of hungry hordes. In the casual dining room, a festive atmosphere is fueled by honor-system bottles of wine and "That's Amore" sing-alongs. Youthful servers are eager to please, doling out oven-fresh garlic rolls with zeal.

The Food
Heaping portions of northern Italian dishes are pleasantly adapted to American palates. Tender, lightly battered calamari served with marinara sauce, and caprese salad with moist buffalo mozzarella and sweet basil, pair well with a glass of Chianti. House-favorite pasta dishes, like rich and satisfying shrimp ravioli cloaked in silky lobster sauce, surpass staid standards such as over-cooked capellini adrift in under-seasoned marinara sauce. What sets this C&O apart from the mother ship is the well-conceived grill menu, featuring grilled meats and seafood. The superbly seasoned salmon with garlicky mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables is a hit.
