NEVER PAY FOR YOUR DRESS BEFORE TRYING IT ON!!!! CROOKS. I went to get fitted for my dress and the sales associate told me to order a 10 or a 12. Knowing how dresses go I ordered a 12 to be safe. I went to go and pick up my bridesmaid dress today and I could not get it zipped up! I talked to the sales associate that originally measured me and she said it was no big deal and the dress could be let out and went and got Moni. Moni came in and was very rude and told me the dress could not be let out and it was my fault the dress did not fit. I do not know how it is possible to gain 3 inches around my ribcage when I am losing it everywhere else. She measured me herself and measured me a couple inches more everywhere. The original sales associate came in to measure me again and was 2 inches off from Moni's measurement (but still my fault). I asked what they were going to do about it because they told me to order the 12 and Moni's comment was that they never tell anyone what size to order and I should have ordered a 16! Why take measurements when you are not going to recommend a size Moni!!!!!! Are we supposed to guess at the size!!! A 16 when I wear a 8/10 normally!!!! I told her that this was terrible customer service and she walked away from me and threw up her hands. She would not deal with me at all. Moni was very rude and hurtful and I wish I would have waited to pay for the dress until after I tried it on instead of before. Shame on you for such poor customer service! Brides beware!!!!!

Moni's Made My Life Easier!!. i was recently the maid-of-honor in my friend's wedding, and since she lives in california, she put me in charge of finding bridesmaid dresses for all 8 of her bridal party. it seemed like a big job, and after my first attempt to look around at david's bridal, i was sure that it was going to be awful. i started looking at dresses online, and found out that Moni's carried a lot of the designers i liked, so i went in and checked it out. they were very helpful, and they had a TON of dresses!

the bride okay-ed my bridesmaid dress choices and the ladies at Moni's helped me set up the paperwork for the girls to order their dresses. half the girls were in the area, but the other half lived all over the country, so i was worried that it would be hard to get them all into the store to order in time. Moni told me that they could get their measurements wherever they live, and just call in their order to the store! so much easier!!

the dresses all came on time (early actually), and Moni did our alterations right in the store herself. everything turned out great, and we all had a wonderful experience at Moni's. they made my life SO much easier during this wedding process, and i will definitely keep them in mind for when i get married! thanks, Moni's!!!

Response to "robynk01" on 9/18/10. We regret how Robyn views her experience, but her story is lacking some important details. She ordered a custom Bill Levkoff bridesmaid gown through our store, to be worn as a wedding gown. She signed a sales contract stating that purchases are final. When the gown arrived in the store, she tried it on and was happy with it; the zipper worked perfectly . She was happy with every service we provided her the entire time her gown was with us. We even helped her by reducing the price of her alterations by half because she was having financial trouble.

Robyn had two fittings and tried her gown on in our store three times; every time her zipper was fine. When she picked up her dress, she signed a release form stating that she had inspected the gown before taking it home.

We stand behind what we sell, and the companies we deal with are well-respected designers with whom we’ve never had problems.

After her wedding, Robyn called to complain that the zipper on her gown had broken when she tried to put it on. We were sympathetic, and asked her to bring the gown in so we could see what had happened. When she came to the store, Moni checked the zipper and the gown. It appeared to have been forcefully separated; the zipper was broken and the fabric at the base of the zipper was torn.

At her request, we called Bill Levkoff. They said they can’t give money back for gowns after they leave the store. Gowns and zippers can be mishandled, and they agreed that it is not the responsibility of the designer or the salon, especially once the gown has been tried on and zipped up three times in the store without problem. They did not refund Robyn’s money.

A few days later, after several harassing calls and threats to get a lawyer and a news crew involved, she came back to the store with her husband and kids, again demanding a refund. She was loud and rude to our customers. She wanted us to call Bill Levkoff again, and we did. They again denied her the refund. She demanded that the store refund her money, and although not at fault, we agreed to give Robyn her money back.

As she and her husband were waiting for a refund, her son came from the back of the store. Robyn said to him, “Did you pee?” He said, “Yes.” She said, “Where did you pee?” and he responded, “On the floor.” “Good boy,” she said, as she left our store laughing. Our staff checked the restroom after they had left, and her son had urinated all over the floor. We were kind and helpful every time she was here and we did as much as we could about the zipper issue. Clearly vandalism is not the way to deal with an unfortunate situation.

Once someone leaves the store satisfied with their gown, damage after that point is not something that bridal shops can be responsible for. We hope that she will consider the effort we made toward satisfying a situation that was out of our control.

LIARS & UNETHICAL!!!. Moni and her staff were so rude during my whole experience at "Monis Bridal". Not only did they have no knowledge of the products in their store.....they don't stand behind the products that they carry. On my wedding day I went to put on my wedding gown and the zipper was totally busted and off the tracks. It wasn't a problem with it fitting actually I had lost a few pounds. i had to get married in a black dress. I was mortified and I called moni and she sid to bring in the dress. After talking to her, I went into her store and she said she needed proof that I was actually married in the black dress. I called my photographer and she made me a sample cd from the proofs that I haven't even seen, and had to pay for. So once again I went back to Moni and she said too bad. Moni is EVIL.....Moni has no sense of business ethics, and totally lacks morals and honesty. I wish her luck in the future....she obviously has no idea what KARMA is.

Friendly and helpfull!. My friend is getting married in Kalamazoo, and we wanted to take a look at what bridesmaid dresses are available. We went to Moni's, which is about a 45-minute drive from my home in northern Oakland County, and were not disappointed. Moni herself helped us, even after learning that the bride was ordering the dresses closer to home and they would not get our business. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and we had a blast. They knew almost every dress by memory, and they laughed with us and gave us opinions and lots of information. Thanks, Moni!

Positive experience!. I know Moni's has gotten a couple bad reviews, so I wanted to share my own experience. I was married on 6/28/08 and had a fantastic experience with Moni and her ladies! She worked hard to find me the right dress, and I wanted a LOT of modifications, for which she accomodiated my every request, and all for a fair price. Every appointment with Moni or her associates was positive, and I'm personally very glad I chose them to buy from!

Don't need this stress!. We had the worst experience here! Everything was fine at first until the ordered bridal dress comes in. The dress was not ordered to the specifications of the bride (the bride wanted an ivory sash instead of champagne). The owner, Moni, then asked the bride to pay extra for changing the color of the sash. At the time when the dress was ordered we were told that there would NOT be an additional charge for this and the invoice states this as well. The owner was not even apologize for this either. So the bride gives in to avoid all this frustration and the owner says that a new dress would come a couple of weeks later with the ivory sash. A few weeks pass and the boutique didn't even call to let the bride know that the dress came in; she had to call to ask. Because the bride was from out of town (5 hrs away) she asked me, one of the bridesmaid, to go and make sure that it was correct before she drives all this way. Once I was there, I explained to one of the associates why I needed to see the dress; she then takes down the bride's name and wedding date and goes to the back. She and the owner then comes back and says that I'm not allowed to see the dress! Only the bride can view it. Again I explained the situation and even offered to call the bride for authorization but they refused this as well. Both the associate and the owner then walked to the back as I was still asking them questions--they totally avoided me and didn't offer any service. If there was such a policy that only the bride can view the dress, how come they never told us this? The dress was correct when the bride drove in town a week later but we are almost sure that the boutique never ordered a new dress--they only changed the sash on the dress using a seamstress and that's probably why we had to pay extra (the sash has a removable pin but this pin cannot be removed). This was such an awful experience-wrong dress, pay extra for their mistake, no service, and worst of all being lied to your face!
