Reviews for Bronson Guitar Works

I'm really a little dumbfounded by some of the severe negative responses here about Bronson. They've been there for like 20 years, all gigging players know about them, and you just wouldn't last in business if those stories were true. I've taken my guitars there for many years; they're exceptional and I've never had a problem. I just can't fathom where those bad stories came from.

Well I have to say that Bronson Guitar Works is one of the greatest guitar shops ever. I took a couple of my electric guitars to get it upgraded and they gave me a very good deal on the prices of pickups and everything. Mark and John are by far very nice people and Bronson Guitar Works shop is the only place I can go to for setups and many more. And it is the only shop I'm ever gonna have few miles from my house. I love Bronson Guitar Works because Mark and John are very fair to me. If I can recommend any guitar shops to my friends who play guitars or anything. I would recommend Bronson Guitar Works for them because the shop gives good deals and everything. They are not mumbo jumbos like other guitar shops. So I would recommend this to anybody. Mark, John, and Bronson Guitar Works rocks.

This shop is truly a heaven for guitar lovers. Because of these guys, I've come to understand exactly how much goes into setting up and maintaining an instrument. I started coming to their shop about 9 months ago after I started working down the street from their office. I originally wanted some accessories and was blown away by how much cheaper they were than the big music stores. So I decided to bring my Ibanez in for a setup and again I was surprised by how much work Mark put in to my guitar, polishing the frets, intonating the bridge, sanding the nut, setting the saddles, adjusting the pickups, checking the tone and volume potentiometers and lowering the action, all for fifty bucks! The guitar played beautifully, and I have since (with the Bronson's advice) bought a new guitar and upgraded both of my instruments so they sound exactly how I have always wanted. They definitely have a customer for life.

Both Mark and John are extremely knowledgeable, polite, fair and objective when advising on what I should do to improve my guitars.

I definitely recommend this shop to anyone that needs their instruments serviced. Above all, this is one hell of a shop for anyone who considers himself a guitar fan!

BEST REPAIR IN TOWN!! When you find a shop that is this good it should be shared. Don't normally write reviews, but this is very important to me as a professional musician, because I need my gear fixed right and in a timely manner. Bronson's has always been able to fix my gear on my time schedule and at a fair price. Can't beat it... Great customer service, warranty on all work performed and honest pricing. Their work is top notch no question!!

I was considering not leaving a review but honestly I think people need to know.

I took my Fender Deluxe Reverb amp into Bronson to get it repaired because it was having electrical problems and the reverb was giving me feedback. The owner told me I would probably get it back in a week to a week and a half. After calling numerous times without receiving any helpful information, 4 weeks passed and they finally told me it was finished. I went in to pick it up and found that the reverb issue was still not fixed. I was about to express my concern that fixing the reverb problem would take as long as fixing the previous problems but the owner cut me off. He said electrical problems take 6-8 weeks to fix typically. So why would you tell me I could get it back in a week and a half? He then said, "That's really f###ing funny that you're telling me how to run my business." He puffed up his chest and got really close to my face as if he was trying to scare me away from voicing my concern. I'm not a scary looking guy and I wasn't trying to get a price reduction.

Please don't take your gear here. The owner, Bronson, treated me like trash and he neglected an issue that I specifically asked to be fixed. On top of that, he maxed out the bench fee. I've literally been scared away from returning to Bronson.

I found a good business. – I came across this place without knowing them before hand. I waited to ask questions concerning related business questions and had the opportunity to listen to Mark Bronson wait on four customers before I spoke to him. I have been in the music service business for over 30 years , and in the music business for over 40 years. I was impressed by his knowledge , patience , and ability to explain technical work and details to novices , and also his breadth of knowledge of the guitar as an instrument in all the different uses and variations , and I have been friends and acquaintance with several of the top Luthiers in the world. Sincerely ,Mitch Greenberg

These People Are JackA$$es!!! – I brought my amp in for repair and they really screwed me!

One part of the amp was working and another section was not. I asked them to fix it and they fixed one part of it and now the other part does not work and they said they had nothing to do with it. WOW... what a bunch of evil no-good liars!!

Bring your amp here and you WILL be SORRY!!!

Best Guitar Repair – For many years different shops have been working on my instruments. I took my PRS in for a setup to see how their work compared to other shops I had dealt with and they are by far the Best. Now I know why so many had referred them to me over the years, but it was a bit of a drive from my house so I always tried to find a good shop closer. Well, it was more than worth the drive, my PRS and several others guitars have since been worked on by BGW. I won't take them anywhere else! They have fair prices, do great work and unlike many others ... they stand behind it. I wish I had found Bronson's years ago to save me all the frustration!
