Weho's answer to Cabo Cantina. Always packed and a good time. More of a bar and restaurant (before peak ours on a Friday or Sunday) than a night club. Very fun for meeting with friends.
Fiesta Cantina is a cheap place to go and have drinks. Happy hour is 2 for 1. The drinks ARE STRONG. So be careful. Lol. Always order something to eat because of it. I love the nachos here. Very delicious. They fill the plate, so it's enough for 4 people to share. Not as a full meal, but something to pick at while having drinks and enjoying friends.
BAD! – Horrible!!! The security guy almost knock down the bathroom door because (god forbids!) I use the "male" bathroom instead of the unisex bathroom!!! I tried to talk to the manager after the harassment and a guy on underwear showed up who was practically laughing at me. So... I want my money back!!!! If you wanna have a great time stay away from this place.
Don't waste your time! – UGH, what a dump! I brought 5 friends with me to have a couple cocktails last night. We usually won't will pass up a place with a line and move on to something where we can walk right in. But, we wanted to meet a couple of local friends who were already inside.
THE WAIT WAS NOT WORTH IT! By the time we got served by the smarmy bartender, an hour of our WEHO fun night had been wasted on waiting to get in and waiting to be waited on.
I ordered a round of drinks for my friends, but the (not very attractive by weho standards) bartender seemed to be more interested in serving more customers, than giving us what we ordered. When I got his attention and told him he got my drink wrong (I ordered a Bud and he served me Miller 64), he said "we don't have bud", then just moved onto the next customer again. I asked him to take the drinks off my bill and he refused. I finally had to get the manager (Marcos), who was standing there not doing a thing. I told him that I wanted the money refunded and he told me I had to wait yet again. I finally insisted on a full refund and we (all 7 of us) left.
I'll never waste my time on the crap hole again. And that includes the San Diego store too. Both of them are filled with slightly unattractive people who are way too drunk. NEVER AGAIN.
The ABBEY, MICKYS AND ELEVEN WILL BE GETTING MY BUSINESS!!

DIRTY TABLES AND STAFF M.I.A. – Yesterday I went to fiesta and grabbed a table. And then waited. And waited.... finally the busboy came over to at least clean the filthy table off. After making a few circles around my table yet still managing to ignore me, I found out thatLogan was the waiter on that section.....
Useless "Manager" – Will someone please tell me what purpose "manager" Scott serves at Fiesta Cantina? Had an incident a few days back where a careless irresponsible bartender gave my credit card to someone else; I did notice that the bartender who gave my card away was too busy socializing and taking shots with friends/patrons which explains his carelessness. I addressed this matter with "manager" Scott. When I approached him he had this arrogant look on his face and he made me feel like I was taking up his valuable time. Needless to say, he walked over to the bar and stood there while I discussed the issue with the bartender. Scott stood there steps away and NOT once did he jump in or say a word. You would think that as the "manager" he would apologize for their mistake and offer to make it up, but not a word. I've been reading other reviews which mention Scott and I realize that this is just the type of person he is and if he continues managing Fiesta they will continue to lose valuable loyal customers and will add to the bad reputation they are building thanks to Scott.
Good Times, Cheap Drinks and Food in WeHo – This is a great place, in the center of West Hollywood's nightlife district. Great patio views, lots of big drinks at good prices (and TWO happy hours!). Nachos, chips, and stuff like that are great value for a group.
Waiters are indeed, young, dumb and hung, but very friendly. Easy on the eye, too. (If you go with a group, have one person work with the waiter, to make sure no surprises on the bill later).
We ALWAYS start off our nights in WeHo with friends at Fiesta Cantina.
Fun crowd for happy hour – The only reason this place gets 4 stars is for its popular happy hour times and tacos. Okay, so the murals make me giggle and the rooftop patio is a plus, but nothing utterly fantastic is to note. The bartenders can be dense – and testosterony, making it feel more like a beach bar, but whatever – if I weighed in my experience with bartenders across this town, there’s not much of a range. Come here to get a big margarita, some chips and salsa, and go. It’s great for happy hour or for starting the night.
NEW WAITER: Lance! – Our friends and I have lived in West Hollywood for awhile, so we know the good and bad around here. Fiesta Cantina is one of our favorites! Great food and two for one drinks during their two Happy Hours!
We went last weekend and met the new waiter, LANCE! He is a sweetheart and was the best waiter! We will make sure to ask for him every visit! <3 Kaci and James
Fiesta Cantina Sunday BAD Service – Sunday afternoon, not that many people about 2pm. Bad services by our server Todd. I had friends visiting from out of the country and I wanted to show them how nice WeHo clubs were. Well to my surprise.....BAD service all the way. I ask to talk to the manager and he/she never came out to knowledge the problem. I just feel that the time and effort that we made to visit Fiesta Cantina was a waste of our precious time.
FIESTA CANTINA - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE – i recently had a very bad experience at Fiesta Cantina in west hollywood. the following letter below is an email i sent to the manger Jeff. Lance one of the servers told me he would pass it on to Jeff. I have not recieved a reply. but regardless, i am a manager myself and know all about customer service. One employee - SCOTT POSER does not.
hi Jeff,
Just wanted to bring something to your attention. Last night (Sunday) I was at Fiesta with friends watching the Grammy's. Now you don't know me by name but you would recognize me. My ex and I are regulars. Any way, the place was very empty, it was our group of friends and then maybe 2 or 3 tables of people. The place was slow. One of the bouncers came to my girlfriend and myself and told us we had to leave, that we were making too much noise. Out side, I asked him who said that and he said Scott the manager. I said nothing and calmly left Fiesta.
My ex. Then confronted Scott to find out why my girlfriend and I were being told to leave. His response was that we were loud and that he had been getting complaints for 2 hours. The place was dead. But lets say he was, in that 2 hours he couldn't come up and ask us to quiet it down? He sends a bouncer over? Like I said we are regular customers and spend a lot of money at Fiesta. Mark and Jordan know me well, I am a friendly easy going person. I am no stranger to Scott either. I know his roommate and I was conversing with him for quite a while last night also.
My point is, "if" some one is being to loud for your taste or other customers, and that someone is a regular customer that you know, do you not just come over the person to ask them to quiet down? Your getting "complaints" for 2 hours and you never say anything to that customer, instead you have a bouncer just tell him he has to leave? Is this the standard practice of Fiesta?
I know that it doesn't mean much, I am one customer out of the thousands that frequent Fiesta, so for me not to come in there anymore and spend money doesn't mean much. But decent common curtsey would have been for him to let us know if we were loud.
I will no longer come to Fiesta nor will my ex or our very good friend after that treatment.
Thanks for reading,
Mike Izzo
2 for 1 Drinks – margarita are big they need to update the music selection but a great place to enjoy the night with friends
You Know Where I Am Wed's Nights! – Fiesta Cantina is a one stop shop for F.U.N. The Santa Monica Boulevard staple offers two-for-one drinks everyday from 4p-8p, some of the craziest Queens doing Karaoke on Wednesdays, and a large patio to enjoy your drink, cig and delicious nachos as you watch the festivities go down on the blvd. It’s pretty evident that unfortunately I am not a fabulous gay man - but who says I can’t try to be?
stupidest door man ever – I went to this place on my 36th birthday. the big fat guy at the door checking i.d.'s would'nt let me in because my i.d. was 1 day expired!! I'm 36 you jerk !! I in no way look under 21. It seemed like it was his 1st day on the job. So basically some lame 21 year old would'nt let a 36 year old in because my I.d. had expired the day before. Avoid this place, it's so not worth it!!
BEST CHICKEN AND SHRIMP NACHOS YOU'VE EVER HAD – I love this place. Been going there for years THEY HAVE THE BEST CHICKEN AND SHRIMP NACHOS. I lived in Palmdale (antelope valley) and i would take an hour and a half drive with my partner and go relax have some drinks and nachos. I love the way they are strict on who they allow in. People call it rude but i call it common sense if your overly drunk you need to get kicked out and be more responsible next time. I would definately say its a great place for anyone who is gay friendly and wants to just hang out with friends.
suuuuckz – I went there and had the shitiest time ever
The food was nasty , I found a broken toothpick in my nachos
i saw a brown insect crawling towards the kitchen
the service sucked even more,u cant tell who works there and who doesnt .
the big black guy at the door was very rude
I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND IM TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY
The worse service ever – Security here BAD they treat you bad, wait stuff slow and over charge your debit card, they are rude.People that goes here are ugly and queens. bad place to visit.
RAGE has the same deal for drinks and are the place is more classy .
The abby is the Best to go. o WOW there are so many places around. WHY WASTE YOUR MONEY ON JUNK AND BAD ATTITUDE
messed up staff – if you want gay guys who don't care about service, go here. used to love this place, staff needs to be retrained!!! too many other places to go to deal with employees that don't care. be careful when paying!!!!
It really simple boys, drinks, decent scene and a handful of very cute servers – I use to be in the bar business. I think that this is a very fun bar. You don't have to spend a lot of money
to get some nachos and beer. You can go here with your friends and 4 people can spend about $25.00.
which isn't alot for 4 drinks and food for each. I do think that the staff is not as solid. But we came to this place to save money.
I think hands down this is the bar in weho that you get the most for your money. The nachos platter was loaded and the sauted shrimp good. The wait staff wasn't hot on service but the boys were very easy on the eyes. They have some cuties working there. I found them to be young, somewhat hot and with very little attitude. So if you want to go to a fun happy hour with lots of energy in the room, see some interesting faces, have some decent food and leave feeling warm and fuzzy. This is the place to go again and again with friends if you are on a budget and want to drink and eat without having to push it to the limit. Also, you can park near and then walk to the "ABBEY and "HERE Bar" and all the other clubs which is an added bonus .
Credit/Debit Card Overcharges and Bad Service – When trying to find a nice place for Happy Hour, you may want to avoid the Fiest Cantina in West Hollywood. The atmosphere is fine. The Food is so-so and the drinks are on the stiff side, which after a long week at work..... tastes great. The problem here is that the servers are complete idiots. They are either burnt out or tired of their existence as a foodserver and this is what is bothersome about my experiences here.
Any business accepting merchant responsibilies and banking information of others must adhere to the law and code of ethics put forth by the government. My debit card was overcharged by my server, a short-middle aged blonde haired guy who gave terrible service.....Ive had better service at the Hollywood DMV on a busy afternoon. I will admit that the tip was overcharged and the cash went straight into his pocket which I am disputing. I am not a patron of my gay-borhood businesses to be ripped off by the workers there nor do I plan to go back.
Please use caution or cash money when you plan to go to the Fiesta Cantina. My suggestion is to go to Hamburger Mary' instead. Its a much better experience, and you dont have to double check your online bank statements after patronizing their establishment.
Spicy Fun – This was the first place I walked into when I first came to West Hollywood and it will be the one I keep coming back to. The food was okay, but the people I met made me feel welcome and that includes the staff as well as the patrons. I've ventured to other spots in the area and the people aren't as outgoing or personable as those at Fiesta.
They have a great group of people working there. Keep up the great work.
Great Booze, Stupid Slow Staff, Watch your bank or credit card! – I go to this place quite often and for a few years now. If you like Chili's, Boys, and Booze you will like this place. This is my neighborhood bar and I am really thankful for it. Food is decent and greasy and the atmosphere is fun. I agree with the other comments that the staffs' brains are always at half mast and for some reason I still get wicked attitude from the bartenders no matter how long I've been a regular customer. This place would be wonderful if they just paid more attention to how they are calculationg your final bill and what they end up sending to the credit card company or the bank. I please urge anyone out there that plans to use their card here: DON'T. Over the past 2 years I have had at least $100 dollars taken from me through miscalculation, keying errors, or just plain stupidity. I have had entire tabs from other tables put on my bill and the absent minded waiter would charge it to my tab when cashing me out. I have had anywhere from 2 to 10 dollars charged to my card each time I have gone by mistake. All in all, have fun- Bring cash.
Total meat fest. – Alright, so I went to Fiesta because I knew that they had karaoke on wednesday nights...HUGE mistake. The bar was packed, seriously packed with diva's with wayyy too much attitude and short A&F wannabe's. I was there max of 30 minutes. The only people I would recommend this place is to those who like 2 for 1 specials or those who like to be around pretentious ugly people OR those who want an easy hook-up. Total frat party meets meat market. Not my scene, I'll never go back to this place. It was dirty to say the least. And the trashy clientele didn't help matters. There are other bars way better than this place. Have fun picking up an STD or two.
Gay Cabo - Sunset Blvd's Equally Interesting Fraternal Twin Brother, who is Gay – We have always gone to Cabo Cantina on Sunset (Across from Sweetzer). This is the same exact place ..but GAY. I write in Capitals because you wont mistake the boy-toonish graffiti on the walls or the festive (hence "fiesta") atmosphere for anything else. To shake up the Friday happy hour, we said "let's go to gay cabo" and give it a whirl.
The Report Card:
People: Friendlier.
Decor: Many more large, communal, sit-with-strangers tables
Food: Same greasy airport mexican inspired gloop
Drinks: Same happy hour, but with a bonus! They repeat their 2X1 happy hour at 10 PM - 12:30 AM...so you could move from one Cabo to the other.
Most surprising tidbit: Patrons inside Fiesta Cantina had no idea what "Cabo Cantina" was..we told them there was a fraternal twin to this restaurant in the same zip code that we had been going to for a few years....still.......crickets...
Goes to show how segregated WeHO is...Santa Monica Blvd. and Sunset are the same strip of places to fest your face off with completely distinct constituencies.
Drinks are delicious, most staff members are quite possibly retarded – The drinks here are delicious (and usually very strong). Just don't expect them to be right the first time they are brought to your table (I have to send mine back for being completely the opposite drink from what I ordered probably half the time). On top of the servers not being very bright, they're also slow. The food isn't authentic mexican food in any shape, fashion or form but it's cheap and decent. All that said, the drinks are so good that they outweigh all the negatives.
Crowd is fun, service to be desired – This is a cute little place where the drinks are reasonably priced, especially happy hour. However, I have had a couple experiences where the bartenders were less than cordial. That kinda sucks. Also, there are two bathrooms and only one of them has a door that locks - not so great for ladies!
Overall, I would still recommend going here for the good drinks, constant Madonna playing, and fun crowd - just ignore the bartenders.
Two for One – This place is pretty cool. I like the 2 for 1 specials. 2 22oz coronas, 4 miller lites, and a double of Jack on the rocks for $20. Not bad for WeHo. I came with my gf and 3 other friends. It's always a "lively" crowd here. Also, more relaxed and casual than the Abbey. Food ain't bad either. Try finding a spot across the street from the sheriff's station on San Vicente to park.
WeHo meets Cancun at this festive, tropical-themed gay bar. – The Scene
A thatched hut sprinkled with strands of chili pepper lights provides the perfect backdrop for spring break levels of tropical drink consumption. Music pumps in the background from the high-energy jukebox, where the hits range from Nikki French remixes to the original "Boys of Summer." Inside, spray-painted beach scenes depict hunky dudes in skimpy shorts, and giant blow-up beer bottles and colorful piñatas dangle from the ceiling. The popular rooftop deck sports a spacious, loungey perch to check out the action below, capping off the "frat boy for the queer guy" decor scheme.
The Draw
Sandwiched between Rage and Micky's, the crowd is predominantly gay men, their straight girlfriends, a handful of lesbians and other neighborhood locals. Things get wild during the daily happy hour (4pm-8pm), and then tame down a bit until the neighboring clubs open up.
