When I went to school in MA there was this place with the same name. This place doesn't live up to my college memories, but it does make an awesome burrito. I like it with everything on it. All wet and yummy. I can't have the queso sadly or the sour cream, but the fresh ingredients and green sauce make up for it.

Quality, flavorful Mexican fare made with some locally sourced ingredients. Great happy hour menu, yummy salsas, and friendly staff.

Muy Sabrosa! – I love Mexican cuisine and am pretty happy with a simple burrito, but I was shocked at how uniquely flavored the dishes were. For a vegetarian, my options are usually pretty limited but it was not the case at this place. My husband had pork something and said that was fantastic as well. We were very impressed and will be back.

It does get very busy around lunch time, being a popular food destination for obvious reasons, so there can be a wait, but it isn't fast food and doesn't taste like it either.

Bad Mexican – We got sick. Both my boyfriend and I after eating at this restaurant. Will NOT go back. EVER!

Service was nice. People friendly. But, cannot be getting sick.. too many good restaurants around for that to happen.

Back to Aqui we go!

Fantastic, real mexican food – I had to write this just to say that this is an excellent mexican restaurant. I have been happy with almost everything i've ever ordered here.

I think the problem with the two people below is that they are Taco Bell people. People who go to Cha Cha Cha do not enjoy Taco Bell, and I suppose vice versa. But Cha Cha Cha uses real food. Real meat, real beans, real cheese, and real flavors. Taco Belll..well...not so much.

Disappointed! Worst Mexican food ever! – First time my coworkers and I tried this restaurant and it was the most disappointing Mexican food experience ever. I think that Taco Bell is better (and cheaper). There was no spice to the food and the restaurant had no spicy salsa or hot sauce. Found a black hair in my food, took it up and they tried to tell me there was no hair! They did still give me a refund on the meal though. The atmosphere is cute; however, black and white photos of babies and children don't really go w/ a Mexican food atmosphere. The food was bland. There were vegetables in the rice (celery and peas), who does that? Don't get the beef enchiladas if you don't like raisins, peas, carrots, and potatoes. Disgusting! Who puts that in their Mexican food?

It's a Mexican restaurant and they make you pay extra for chips and they don?t have salsa. They did have pico de gallo, but that is not the same as salsa. What's up with that? That was one thing I was looking forward to going out to Mexican food! Also, the sour cream was very thin and watery, kind of weird.

They want a tip and they don't come take your order or bus your table, what's up with that?

The tables were also not very clean...

and if you HATE parallel parking, this isnt the place for you! they need a parking lot!

I don't recommend wasting your time or money on this restaurant.

Same Bland Taste as Taco Bell – I have "American" tastes so I stick with simple items like burritos. I've had ONE in five visits where the order was correct. This is especially frustrating because I get my order to go and don't find out until I'm home that they've ruined it by putting rice in it (yes, I dislike rice that much). Don't even suggest that I check before I pull away from the restaurant - what a mess! Counter staff is rude and it takes forever to get your order (a bean and cheese burrito shouldn't take 10 - 15 minutes to make). Maybe putting all that damn rice on is what takes so long, I don't know. Pico sauce isn't much to write home about either. It's mostly onions with little else. Plus it's in a plastic container that leaks everywhere and the car ends up smelling for days.

After getting my order wrong again last night, I went to Taco Bell (hey, I'm serious about this NO RICE business and tossed the one from Cha Cha Cha). Taco Bell's refried beans tase the same as Cha Cha Cha's (probably get them out of the same can) and they understand that when I say NO RICE I mean it! Plus the counter staff is polite. Maybe the staff from the Broadway Cha Cha Cha should stop by for some lessons.

The Best! – We're new to Portland but we LOVE Cha Cha Cha! We actually ate here before we moved here and love it so much it's hard for us to try new places. Everything I have tried is fantastic. I recommed any of the burritos and the Cha Nachos. The mole sauce is fantastic. Their regular burritos (with no sauce on top) are PERFECT for picking up on the way to the movies/show/etc. The staff is so nice and they know what they're doing. Always on top of it. When the line is long during peak times, it goes pretty fast and the food is always out in a flash. Totally worth the wait.

Quality depends on the day bad food, good service – My co-worker eats at cha cha cha everyday and is always praising their food, so i decided to try it, I went to the location on Glisan I got a EL patron steak burrito and it was one of the best burritos I have ever had, so i decided it's a good place to have my lunch once in a while . The following week I went ot the location on broadway and got the same burrito, and i was horrified, the steak was tough, burrito was half beans one one piece on steak. To make matters worse when I was checking my creidt card statemet i found out i was charged $5 extra for god knows what. So if You use your credit card there check your statements. This was my second and last time at Cha Cha Cha

Cheap is the best you can say – I have lived a block away from this place for the last two years. When I have nothing in the fridge, and I am too lazy to go to Freddies, and it has been a long enough time since my last visit, and I simply need to put something in my stomach, I go to CHA CHA CHA's. (Which is to say I eat there every couple weeks). First thing, their food is never the same size. The size of my burrito's and chimichanga's vary from day to day and cook to cook. I suspect it is because they have so much turnover. The same can be said for their margaritas, strong one day, weak the next. If you are going to have a meat dish, I suggest sticking to the chorizo, as their chicken and beef platters are highly suspect, By "highly suspect", I mean lots and lots of gristle and bone. As a matter of fact, that is why I am writing this review. The last chimichanga I had there, I was mistakenly given beef and it was almost all gristle! (Am I spelling gristle right?) It was pretty gross. Stick to the chorizo and the fish and you'll be ok. Another complaint. The hot sauce is super bland. Blah! Kersnooze! One plus is their cheap chips and salsa. To recap: pros= pretty cheap food. Cons= poor quality meat, bland food in general, and super inconsistent in terms of proportions. In general, Mexican food in Portland is in bad shape. If you want good mexican food, you have to go to the panerias and taco stands in the small towns like Jefferson, Dallas, Philomath, Monmoth etc. I highly recommend LA ROCA in Philomath. If your ever driving to Newport and you go through Philomath, stop at LA ROCA. It puts this place to shame. Big time. One last thing. I am sure you are wondering why I keep going back when I have such a low opinion of this place. The answer is simply laziness. Usually, I simply need to get some food in my stomach before I have beer or two. I'm sure you understand.
