Trust me RUN!!!! – This is supposed to be a Transmission place! They can't even do that. I was supposed to get a free check engine light on check. BUT that wasn't even free. I fixed what they recommended but it didn't solve anything.
The worst! – How does a business like this stay in business all they do is lie and lie some more.
they ripped me off and they wont refund me my money! And lied to me. I should have read the other reviews but I went their cause they were a reputable chain. Save your money and go somewhere else.
great customer service – the customer service was excellent. staff is knowledgable, polite, understanding, and efficicent.
i would recommend this business to anyone.
Worst Service I ever had...... – I went here because I was stranded on the freeway so I was towed in. I spent money to fix my car to run again only to find out it broke down half way to my house. I called back to tell them what happened their response was, " it must be something else wrong with it." I am on disability and money dosen't grow on trees. I don't recommend this shop at all.
Best automotive experiance in Houston – I have been driving a very problematic car for some time now and have visited NUMEROUS automotive repair establishments. Out of all of the ones I have been to, I have never felt more comfortable than with the team here at Astrodome AAMCO. Like I said I drive a Junker, and i was treated like i drove a Rolls. Fast, fair, courteous, efficient, and friendly. Their knowledgeable and courteous staff members are some of the best I have come across. if you are someone who, like me, drives a car that requires lots of ..."attention"...you will definitely find a home at Astrodome AAMCO.
Thanks AAMCO!!! It?s still Running!!
Friendly and Nice - Just Like My Dad! – I just moved to Houston last month to go to school and conveniently, my ?86 Chevy Blazer started making this awful noise if I went over 55mph! My dad is a mechanic in Florida so I am weary about taking my car anywhere ? even to get my oil changed. I visited several shops before landing at Houston AAMCO on the South Loop. Chuck, the owner, diagnosed the problem right in front of me and FREE of charge. It turned out to be a minor fix and Chuck even offered to speak to my dad in Florida on the phone about the problem. My dad seemed to think that my Blazer was in good hands and I didn?t blame him. I wasn?t disappointed! I wasn?t conned into unnecessary repairs like I might have been at the other shops that I had visited. The staff was very friendly and nice ? the owner?s daughter even gave me a ride back to campus. You don?t see things like this anymore ? a family-owned, big-named shop. I will definitely go back if something else happens to my Blazer ? although, I will keep my fingers crossed that nothing does!
By the way, I am not sure why the person below wrote a negative review. Perhaps they're thinking of another AAMCO shop? I believe there are several others around town.
Found my electrical problem! – My Volvo occasionally was having problems starting and would have dashlights show up randomly. Of course, I could never get the problem to act up when I was at the car shop. But, at Houston AAMCO, they took my word for it and found problems with the wiring to the alternator and starter. I was a little worried when I heard I needed a wiring harness (sounds expensive!), but Chuck and his mechanics were able to fix the problem without the major expense. Now my car drives like new and I don't have to worry about it dying on the road (with two small kids in the car, no less!). I will definitely be back.
Editorial Review – National chain of auto mechanics servicing all makes of foreign and domestic cars and trucks.
The BEST service and price I've found – I HATE taking my car to be serviced because of the expense, time, and usually poor level of customer service. Working with Chuck and Bill at AAMCO has changed that for me. I had a major issue with my breaks and they were able to get all the parts the same day and after dropping off my car one afternoon, they came to pick me up at noon the next day with my car running better than it ever has before. I shopped around for the same service and truly believe that they gave me a fair price for exceptional service. They showed me the parts they replaced and I trust their recommendations. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to have repairs made to their vehicle.
