Sundays - not so sure! – The food is reasonable but a little pricey. It's roomy so you are not side by side with your neighbours. Unfortunately what this restaurant lacks is interested servers. The several times we have been here the server was cool to say the least. We had to ask for refills on the soda and after she took our order the only time she came to the table again was with the check. If you are looking for good food for a Sunday Brunch this would be the place. However, beware, the noise level and the kiddie noise are high decible. This would be ok at Burger King prices but not at Square Kitchen prices. Good Food but let's see a little more attentive staff and a little less "Chucky Cheese" atmosphere on Sundays.

Meiocre service- great food & location! – We went on a quiet Thursday night-- and I must say first, the service was TERRIBLE! Mine and my date's drinks were never refilled, no reccomendations were made (though requested) and once the food was deposited on the table we never saw the server again--- we flagged down the hostess for napkins, flatware even our check. Though only four tables were taken-- we were seated at the dark back of the restaurant and perhaps that contributed to the inattentive care we recieved.

Now, the food was creative and wonderful, the setting modern, chic & gorgeous, the location is great-- but if I desired to be sneered at by a waitress, I'd've rather walked out. I can make good food at home-- or find it somewhere else!

Nice healthy options, slightly overpriced – The chopped salad and soup (some chichi purée) were tasty, but

the prices are a touch higher than I would like to pay, especially

for wine. The prices are de facto that of an upscale restaurant, but

the place has the feel of something more casual, so watch what you're

ordering.

So So Food – Average food. My buttermilk pancakes were as hard as bricks but the sauce was tasty. Omelettes are pretty good, with fresh potatoes. Coffee is excellent. This place is small and extraordinarily noisy. Kids screaming and parents not caring on a Sun morning. That's fine for IHOP but not if I'm paying $9 for pancakes.

Casual corner restaurant serves updated American fare to an all-ages Lincoln Square crowd. – The Scene
Soft gray walls and lots of blond wood on tables, chairs, and shelves make for a cool, clean feel in this buzzing restaurant. Neighborhood couples and families wait for tables at the long, comfortable bar; an open kitchen and tight banquette seating give the adjoining dining room a more chaotic vibe.

The Food
Square Kitchen boasts a likable list of updated American brunch and dinner plates. Bite-sized Maryland crab cakes are paired with not-too-spicy corn relish and chive butter; cheese lovers can go for the ample cheese plate, with brie, aged gouda, Maytag blue cheese and crisp fresh fruit. Among entrees, sirloin steak in peppercorn-cognac sauce is a tender, flavorful score; generously portioned lobster club sandwich is overpowered with bacon. Crepes filled with white- and milk-chocolate mousse are a light, decadent ending.
