Fantastic Venue, Great Service, Poor Food.
We went to the Triple Door for the first time this past weekend to see a fantastic show by the Dudley Manlove Quartet. What a fantastic venue. Beautiful decor, great service and sound.
I recommend getting there early, you can be seated as early as 5:30 PM, but we arrived at 6:00 PM and were the first seated. It is all first come first serve.
The only disappointment of the night was the food. It wasn't bad, but is expensive. My SO is vegetarian, and we wrongly assumed there would be many items that were vegetarian. The food was all too strong on one flavour and not complex.Next time we'll go without food or just get one appetizer.
Horrible Service. Great place to see a show... However, your plans include a few drinks and some food beforehand in the bar - don't count on it. Service is slow and unenthusiatic... The food arrived before drinks and silverware. However, once able to eat, the food excellent - as it's from the kitchen of Wild Ginger. Afterwards, had to find the server to get check in order not to miss show! I chalked this up to one bad experience - and gave it another try... This time taking a seat the bar. Strike 2. Next time, I'll have my drink and food upstairs at the Wild Ginger prior to the show. Thumbs down for Triple Door service.
short changed. We were surprised to get half a show when we went to see Vicci Martinez last weekend. Best to find out beforehand if they intend to kick you out early, so they can squeeze in another crowd. Great sound, though, and lots of good seats, and good food and drink.
An awesome evening. This venue is perfect for a romantic date or a fun gathering of friends/co-workers. If you want to entertain, this is the place to take them. Tickets, dinner, drinks are all priced fair. Cheaper than I expected. I will definately be a regular!
Great space, horrible service. Recently, several friends and I met at the Triple Door prior to a show. While it was a busy Friday night, we waited over 30 minutes for a server to come to us. Once we ordered drinks, it took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Drinks or food were brought to us by anyone *other* than our correct server. Either she was in the weeds or just a cranky, surly incompetent server. The drinks were hugely overpriced. And the app portions didn't reflect the high price. The only reason I'll continue to go to the Triple Door is for the shows. The service completely sucks.
Great Place for Group Event. Arranged a happy hour event on short notice at The Triple Door for a large group in Seattle for a national meeting. Nina Krall, the group accomodations rep, was very helpful and accommodating and worked with me through varioius fits and starts in planning this little event. The group loved the ambience of the Triple Door bar and the good value on the appetizer plates and drinks. Bar staff were friendly and fun and put group at ease. Show room is gorgeous and elegant, with great acoustics, and the private rooms are a great value for a group event. I'm hoping to do a holiday event there, now!
new menu rules!. Now that the Triple Door has a the same menu as the Wild Ginger, this place has gotten even BETTER! For a live, intimate show, this place cannot be beat ANYWHERE. Plus the bar area is happening too. The night we were there they had a hot jazz band playing in the bar, and for free!
Great venue, food sucks. Nice room, good sound system, but the food here is bland, boring and not worth the prices, better to eat before you get there.
Stunning. THE most beautiful spot in SEA. For it's size, The Triple Door is the best venue in the Northwest. Once you've sat and enjoyed a show there...it's almost hard to go elsewhere. The sound, lights, atmosphere....all pristine and wonderful. You really do have to experience it.
who knew?. Who knew you could find a packed bar on a Sunday night? I was walking back to the garage after a great meal at the Wild Ginger, when I was pulled inside the Triple Door by the sound of Latin music. Once inside, I found at least 100 people enjoying Arturo Rodriguez's latin quintet! They had cleared a space for a dance floor, at it was full of dancers, some of them really talented! My server was friendly and knowledgeable. She showed me the "big room", which was awesome! Can't wait to go back and see a show there. Most places with dancing charge a cover. It was nice to go in and have money in my pocket for what turned out to be a terrific dessert! I'll be back this Sunday!
