Wow, somebody in May had their feelings hurt :( – Obviously, those reviews from May are the work of a low-IQ humanoid who must have been rejected by one of the beautiful people who go to M1-5 or the Ainsworth (notice how the reviewers only reviewed those 2 places, and both owned by the same gentleman?) Let me tell you the truth about these places, and I am very qualified to comment being a high-level degenerate who has been to a billion of them in this city. M1-5 has no attitude, either at the door, by the bartenders, the crown, or from any of the owners or managers. It is one of the chillest places that you can go to. The drinks are NOT overpriced, and never watered down or spit in or whatever the hell the last reviews were saying. Want to have a good time with your friends without worrying about door attitude and pretentiousness? Go to M1-5. Want to blow your money and risk getting your ass handed to you by others? Plenty of other places to get that if that's your game.
Sausage everywhere, why? – Are girls allowed in this bar? I live in the neighborhood so I’ve been a few times...and it is always jammed with guys. On top of that...every guy in there was a tool who thought he was a bad ass. The staff is slow and the drinks were overpriced for an "upscale" (more like trashy) dive. Dont waste your time or money...
Hate M1-5 – Things I hate about m1-5
1) meathead doormen on power trips
2) overpriced watered down drinks ($15 each)
3) slow/rude bartenders who make up prices and add their own tips
4) bad music on lousy stereo system
5) crowd full of fratty dudes with almost no girls in site
Choosing which reason to hate m1-5 the most is hard. Choosing not to go back is easy!
WORST BAR EVER – I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS BAR. After planning my birthday at M1-5, I arrived to find a line three hours long, absolutely no partiality for my guests, zero service and a bar so packed it was impossible to breathe let alone get a drink. My experience epitomized a birthday party gone wrong. I would like to thank the m1-5 for making my birthday night stressful and horrifying.
Poor service, rude and rowdy bouncers – It was a nightmare and made a big mistake I picked this place over other places....bouncers were not friendly and were throwing their weight around for no good reason....very rude behavior! Not recommended too expensive, poor service, too crowed with ugly people
BEWARE!! TERRIBLE PLACE!! – This place looked like a blast. We had really high hopes, and heard it coould be a good place...but we were so dissappointed....
Condoms on the floor....
No good looking people...
Expensive drinks with little alcohol in them.
AND THE BOUNCER TOUCHED ME INAPPROPRIATELY WHEN I WALKED PAST HIM... the whole nights was awful!!
don't throw a party here--never going back – reserved a space for 30. called to confirm a few days before. when i arrived, there was only one small table that could fit 8 people. i complained and was told the other tables were reserved. by who I have no idea since they were empty the whole night. the staff overall was EXTREMELY RUDE. i chose this place because it was supposedly not pretentious, and it ended up being more pretentious than any club i've ever been to. plus $15 for a mixed drink in a plastic cup loaded with ice.
Terrible Birthday – I threw my girlfriend her surprise birthday party at m1-5 last night. I wish I can do it all over again. Not only were the drink prices out of control but the one female bartender that was serving us kept making up her own prices as the night went on. I dont know if she was new and didnt know but that is no excuse. Overall I had a terrible time and wish I could do it all over again because I wouldnt choose m1-5.
Awful & Terrible, Terrible & Awful – Planned a bachelorette party for my friend and made reservations at M1-5. We had a table reserved and were told we would not have to wait in line. Even called the day of to confirm reservation. When we got there, well before 11, were told we had to wait in line to get in even though we were on the list. When we got in, we were told we didn't have a table. Specifically chose this bar because we wanted a table. Crowd was definitely barely 21 frat kids. Not what they advertise, not what we were promised. In fact, we were blatantly lied to about what we were getting. We had one overpriced drink and bailed.
Weak drinks and creepy dudes – Went here for our friend's birthday. Went to get a few drinks from the bar. I use the term "drinks" loosely. $15 for a cup of ice, no vodka, and some flat soda?
The people at this place, the people! I stopped counting after I got my ass was the victim of unwelcome grabs approximately 5 times. One of the offenders had sunglasses with rhinestones on...need I say more?
Zero stars for m1-5. In summary, I couldn't even get buzzed off those watered-down, overpriced drinks, so I'm not sure if you could even call it a buzzkill.
