This is the go-to venue to see the Houston Rockets, and big concerts. Madonna, Andrea Bocelli, U2 and more have played here. Tip: There's easy parking at the adjacent covered lot, which has a ramp that goes directly into the center. Get tix at the box office to avoid fees.
Overprices, not comfortable, cramped seating, horrible sound – For rock concerts, this is not the place. The acoustics are not thoroughly researched to make the sound differentiate from static noise or music.
The old Summit was far superior in leg room for the seats and sound quality. The Cynthia Woods is even a better venue for rock concerts. This place is not for Rock concerts.
The drink prices are more then the cost at a Texans game.
The food, is pricey too.
Center of Houston's Entertainment Universe – I've been here for Le Cirque, the Rockets, motivational business conventions, and concerts.
If you are going to splurge, the Club House level seats are my favorites, and the Lexus Room is sort of an antisocial area.
As a concert venue it is questionable – Eric Clapton was great, great choice of songs, great band and everyone played/sang with energy and precision. Sat is section 113, sound quality was terrible, worst in Houston since the Stones opened Reliant. There is no excues for poor sound quality. Toyota Center may be great for sports events but don't go for a concert unless your can sit close enough to hear directly from the monitors on stage. Clapton's folks working the sound boards made improvements after the first 4-5 songs but overall, sound was worse than Rockets old summit home.
The comfortably elegant steel-and-glass monolith hosts the Rockets, Comets and Aeros. – The Venue
Knowing that a deeper foundation puts fans closer to the action, the architects sank the lower bowl, which comprises 60 percent of the seating, 32 feet below ground level. Without compromising sight lines, the arena seats 18,500 for basketball and 17,800 for hockey. Not only are the seats two inches wider than most, the scoreboard has the highest digital resolution of any built prior to the venue's opening, and the state-of-the-art sound system is said to be leagues ahead of Reliant Stadium's.
Spectators access the Red & White Wine Bistro with their ticket, whether a $10 or $500 stub, to enjoy the action with a glass of wine. The denim-and-diamonds set heads to one of the 92 luxury suites or 2,800 club seats, thereby gaining access to the Rocket clubs located in the east and west wings.
