Our new favorite French Bistro! – ...and one of the best in New York!
Fabulous food, fun hip atmosphere. great wine list. We felt like we were in Paris.
Been there over 12 times and each time we discover something new we love. The Fresh daily made pate is a must, and the desserts, my husband and I can't pass them up...they are so french, light and wonderful.
We heard they were opening a wine and tapas bar. We can't wait

Just what a French Bistro should be! – Returned after not having been for at least a year or more and it's still great! Needed a quick light meal after a day of shopping and having had a late lunch. We shared a salad and each had entree's. DW had the scallops and I had the skate. Amazing perfecty cooked full of flavor and very nicely plated. A bottle of wine and we were all set. Both of us saying we couldn't believe we waited so long to return. We'll be back sooner rather than later. Also felt the prices were very reasonable.
BELLEVILLE IS AWESOME! – I went to Belleville about 2 weeks ago, and when me and my friends were trying to decide on where to this weekend I couldn't help but suggest Belleville. I guess my friends had been there in the past because they said it was completely different. Anyway, everyone loved it again. Our waiter got us excited talking about their new lounge opening up too. It looks like Park Slope is slowly turning into Brooklyn's version of Chelsea with Belleville, their new lounge, Excelsior and Gingers all on the same block!
As for the food, I surrendered to ordering what I had last time which were the mussels and duck. Again, they were great.
Wonderful French Restaurant – We love this place and visit it on a fairly regular basis. The atmosphere is wonderful, the wine list extensive, and the food is fantastic. We also love the staff as they have always been friendly and helpful. The owner is often on hand to make sure everything is taken care of. A really great neighborhood spot!
Beautiful Experience – I was in Belleville 3 or 4 times before, always on winter.
This is the first time I went to Belleville and the front is open. No doubt this is one of the most beautiful and charming places in Brooklyn. We got a table right on the corner on the front. The food it was amazing I got the roasted pork with the blackberry sauce, to die for, and my boyfriend got the Filet Mignon d? Agneau with a bottle of excellent and affordable Cahors. The services was great and very friendly. We will be back for brunch.
Worst service, mediocre food – Hello? Hello? Is there anybody here? We were not greeted, not seated, not even looked at for a good 5 minutes. Service stinks, and the food was mediocre at best. NEVER go back!
Horrible Service & Food. They are over! – This place has gone waaaay downhill in what seems like just 6 months.
I?ve been there about 5 times over the past year and the last two times the service was hideous and the food was below average.
There are many new members of the wait staff and they're just not being trained properly.
I knew something was wrong when my companion and I waited and waited by the door to be acknowledged. The restaurant was not that full and the rush of super cold air blasting in when we opened the door should have been a clue that new customers have arrived. It wasn?t for this staff.
The wait for the food was way too long given the early hour. When it arrived we found out why; it had apparently been sitting in the kitchen somewhere. The sauces had slightly congealed on the plate. The food was room temperature and bland.
My steak was hidden under a pile of cold onions that have never appeared on my plate in the past. (I?ve had this dish a few times here) The too heavy sauce was obviously meant to conceal the pedestrian nature of the food. The cold fries were mushy and not really edible, but they did cover more then half the plate.
It took us a while to shake off the horrible experience, a few beers helped, but we decided that was the last chance they get. It?s simply not worth the costs to risk another horrible meal in what was once an acceptable restaurant.
Avoid this place! Don?t live with regret!
WORST MEAL EVER! – I had the lobster ravioli as an appetizer. The pasta was tough. The filling and sauce were cold. I ordered the sirloin steak. It was 23.00 and the steak was as small as a thumbnail. The service was awful. Noone asked how my meal was and they took their time bringing out the food. DO NOT WASTE UR TIME OR MONEY HERE!
Fun French Bistro!!!!!! – A Friend of mine took me to Belleville, for dinner. It was my first time at the restaurant for me and honestly I was surprise how beautiful and charming the place is. The service was fast and the food was great. I had a pan seared Branzini, I really enjoyed my dish, the portion it can be a little bigger for the price, but it was supreme. For desert the waiter recommended us the Chocolate moose that it was also great.
I will be back for sure.
THE WORST RESTAURANT EVER!!!!!! – I wanted to surprise my husband for this b-day so I took him at this place... I made a reservation by phone and when we got there it took the hostess ' the manager' almost 20 minutes to give us a table... But keep in mind that they were nobody waiting for a table except us and that the restaurant wasn't even busy. Anyhow, I didn't want to say anything because again it was supposed to be a special day for my husband. we sat and we ordered... After 40 minutes of waiting for our food, I asked the manager what was taking so long, and she responded that is was coming, in fact the waiter brought us our COLD food... I was so upset and decided to have a chat with the manager who was not helpful or apologitic at all. my husband and I decided to cancel our meal and we went to another place... Be aware of this RUDE french people.
