One of the Best Restaurants in Minnesota! – I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions, it is one of the very few restaurants I frequent often.

We have ordered almost all of the mainstays on the menu. The Pop!uLure is an extremely good sandwich, and the Cheeseburger with Tillamook and fried onions is always cooked to perfection and served at the temperature I requested. The french fries are also good and really crisp.

If you aren't into eating a sandwich - try the Swedish meatballs, they are too good for words.

All in all, every dish is delicous and I promise you won't be disappointed. The rest of the menu is equally as good. Go there tonight!

As for some of the other reviews, it is one of the most reasonably priced restaurants in the city. If you go to a restaurant for the napkins and silverware (which are perfectly fine at Pop!) then you are there for the wrong reasons.

And if you don't like the deserts, which offers something for everyone anyways - go next door to Snap, which has fantastic IceCream, not to mention their pizza.

Pretty good, some flaws – POP is an upbeat little place, a fun addition to this NE neighborhood. I think it was a little pricey for what we got, seeing how we were eating with dinky silverware you get at a greasy spoon diner. The black napkins were an anomaly, seeing how the colors are a Latinesque combination of festive yellows, oranges, and reds. The dessert tray looked like an embarrassment--some pretty pretentious, overwrought constructions--and too expensive. This place is fun, although crowded at times (no reservations, scant parking). But overall, it's good to see a place with a diverse menu that rescues you from the usual burger and fries. Friendly service.

Oh sooo good... – You must go!!! They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait on the weekends, but you will not be disapointed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and you can't beat the value. Great food in a relaxed atmophere. There should be more resturants like this in the twin cities!

Pop delivers a value packed punch! – The neighborhood feel of this spot is an immediate attraction but the value is what really pulled me in. No entree over $14 at dinner and many bottles of wine under $20! The food is imaginative, well presented and downright tasty. The service was attentive and thoughtful. No, it was not fine dining with haute cuisine, nor was it bargain basement comfort food. But, for those who like to support the local economy and eat something that doesn't taste like your grandmother made, this is the place. The only drawbacks are the no reservation policy, the small waiting area and the lack of privacy at the tables (I was sitting so close to the next patron that I was able to count her nose hairs!) However, all things considered, I would much rather spend my money here than at a chain restaurant in the suburbs.

outstanding!!! – A friend and I went there for dinner on Monday nite. We were greeted and seated promptly with our menu's. We shared a plate of pasta, which was excellent, a creamy cheesy sauce with spinach, yum. My friend had the warm beet salad and we both had the special. A steak and shrimp plate with mashed potaoes, asparagus and a heavenly Chipoltele cocktail sauce. Dessert was the Number 1, crepes filled with caramel and served with ice cream. All in all, we will go back soon.

Bland food – I went to POP for lunch on a saturday with some friends and a small child. I ordered the salmon sandwich patty and an ice tea .The ice tea is made from one of those powedered drink mix so..pew..didn't drink it and frankly, I could not taste the salmon in my sandwich. My friends ordered the tuna sandwich wich was a special only to see that it didn't come on a bun.The waiter kept messing up the order and my child finally got her fishsticks after remimding the waiter twice about it . The molten choc cake was incredible though. Will not go back.

Unique! – The food here was unique! I had the salmon which was delicious--but served luke warm.

Oddly, they don't take reservations--and they make waiting very uncomfortable in the tiny front corner of the restaurant. We asked if we could buy a glass of wine while we waited for a table. They said "no, it's against the law" Huh????? What law is that? (p.s. I'm 36, not 19).

a welcome addition to northeast! – As long-time Northeasters, we were thrilled to see POP! come to the neighborhood.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful. It is small, and busy, so be prepared to wait in a crowded spot (even on week nights!).

I certainly wouldn't come with my children -- but for a night out with my husband or friends it's a great little spot! We will be back often.

Get the Couscous – Quaint atmosphere, excellent service, and average food except the shrimp couscous was great.
