Have to agree – the ones we've recently been to have been hillsboro and surrounds , There is something very wrong with the waitresses they hire. They never seem to be able to hear or understand anything . I asked loudly and clearly for my tea "with the meal " . Brings it first . Then when I asked for new hot water , instead of just saying sure and getting it she needs to know 'why'? DUH. I was brought white gravy with a TON of meat in it , dennys has none geez sorry, my bad. I asked for a different gravy, she not only looked at me as if I had two heads but then loudly proclaimed to the cook the problem. NOT professional . First time in a sharis I asked if the cloth bag was ours to keep - She looked at me like I had 3 heads . We also had to wait and wait to pay the bill, last time some guy host ,waiter i dont know what he was , was in clear eyeshot of us waiting but he ignored us , chatting it up with customers instead of coming to the register. get rid of the manager who comes to your table and asks if everything is alright , its annoying , and get new waitressess ones without attitudes who can hear you and respond in a professional manner .
Wierd staff, mediocre food. – First of all, let me tell you that I LOVE Sharis, and I made my husband drive me there because I needed my stuffed hash brown fix. The things I have come to expect are quality food, courteous service, and fast delivery.
This Sharis, however falls short on all counts. WE were seated immediately, but then it took 8 minutes for anyone to take a drink order, and another 10 minutes to place our order. Our waitress was less than cheery, and the coffee was undrinkable at first.....it tasted like it was the second time through the coffee maker!! It took at least 5 minutes to get the attention of our waitress to get a replacement.......
So, the breakfast? It was okay, but the hashbrowns were undercooked and cold in the middle. I've had stuffed hashbrowns there before, and NEVER have I had a worse meal. Thank goodness that they have Chipotle Tabasco (a high point for this chain)
But the worst part was when it was time to pay. My daughter had to use the restroom, so I excused myself and handed her my credit card. In less than a minute (quickest service so far) she walks INTO THE BATHROOM and expects me to SIGN THE SLIP IN THE BATHROOM COUNTER!!!! Can you say YUCK?!! This so turned me off that I am sure I will not be visiting this Sharis again.
The bathrooms were gross, the carpets were filthy, the food was cold and undercooked, the coffee was weak and bitter, and the waitress chased me into the bathroom!! Wow! OH, and the manager, who was making his way around the dining room never made it to our table.....go figure!
The only explanation for such awful service might be the fact that it was New Years Day, and everyone was still drunk.....that's all I can figure. So, now my husband has sworn never to take me to another Sharis again, which makes me sad because I love the stuffed hash browns :(
I give them one star for effort.
