love the place, management is terrible – I love chopstix. I really do. Unfortunately, they have some serious problems with their reservation system.

I called before New Years Eve to make a reservation, and no one returned my call. Being dedicated to making it happen, I called 3 times before getting an answer. The manager wanted me to make a reservation online, but I talked him into making it over the phone with little effort. I asked if I was guaranteed a table and he replied yes. My numbers were a bit fuzzy so he said he'd call 4-5 days before NYE to firm up the reservation - great.

2 days until NYE, I call back twice to firm it up. At first the guy sounded like he had no clue who I was, then eventually found my name. Not encouraging. Again I check if we're confirmed a table, and ask if I need to do anything, show up at a specific time, etc. He says we're confirmed, just show up whenever. Great.

Night of, 9:15, I show up - no table for us. He says we had to show up by 8, and claims he mentioned this over the phone. LIE. He says it says this on the website, and this has always been Chopstix policy. I checked for sites, I found 3 different links that took me to 3 different homepages. I searched thoroughly, and found no such information. LIE.

So I ask if he can help me out, I have 12 people coming and we typically shut down about a 500-600 dollar tab on NYE. He says sorry, I had to show up at 8 and he can't bump anyone from a table. Get this, he then WALKS AWAY.

"I'm right, you're wrong, I'm walking away now" - congratulations, you have the worst service from a manager I've encountered in years. I later encountered a party that arrived 10 minutes before us and was seated at the final table, which did not have a reserved sign on it.

So apparently "reservation" means "come on in, if we aren't busy we'll serve you!"

It's a shame, because the show was great and we eventually took over enough bar tables to make space for all of us. The drinks were weak sauce, but the show was great. I can't tolerate blatent lying and terrible managerial treatment/rudeness though - I won't be going back.

I went to write them feedback, only to find the Contact Us email link wasn't set up properly. Just wow.

This is a great place for Fun! – I always have an awesome time every time I go to Chopstix in Seattle. They have a great dueling piano show with talented players and great bartenders that get you drinks quickly! I am a regular!

Overpriced for o.k. music and drinks. – I went for New Year's 2009 and was over charged on my bar tab a lot by $100. So be careful and just pay cash for each drink. They also never mentioned a tax/gratuity fee on a reservation I made. I paid $90 to get in and they ran my credit card for $114. So just be warned to ask questions before you purchase. I live in LA and I would not recommend this for a New Year's night out. The website makes you think the place is big, but actually it's very small.

Poor Show... – The guys dueling on the pianos played the same weak songs heard at any piano bar (no originality). At times they couldn't play songs at the correct tempo. One of them was even rude to me when I requested a song he didn't like playing. On top of that, you have to pay a steep cover charge. Don't bother going here. It's not worth your time.

Fun atmosphere, if you also enjoy being in a mosh-pit – A group of us girls went to have a good time. We got there at 8:30 and we were already packed in like sardines. We had to stand along the wall, which was alright, but the wait staff kept shoving us to get out of the way. Then we were fondled by the influx of 21 year old boys who were dancing around like it was their first time drinking. The singing staff was great, and knew a lot of good sing along songs. Despite feeling like I was in an MRI tube, we managed to have a good time, until the 16 year old waitress managed to lose my credit card and told me "why don't you check your purse". I was livid, and demanded she find it, NOW. She finally found it 30 minutes later with some other waitress. I was so angry. They had already put their own tip on it, so I left zero more. Bottom line, unless you like being in an MRI tube and being fondled by over-zealous boys, try to get a table, but good luck!

Chopstix a Total Let-Down – Choptix's "Ladies Night" brought my and a group of friends out last Thursday evening. What a terrible experience! The place was only half-full, but we rarely saw any service at our table. Going up to the bar was no better - none of the 4 bartenders seemed interested in pouring anyone any drinks at all! Despite generous tips and a small crowd, this poor service continued throughout the night.

While waiting at the bar, I struck up a conversation with the General Manager working that night. I told him I was very unhappy with the service. He said that I had no right to talk to him about those issues, and that I would be asked to leave if I complained to anyone else. I couldn't believe it! I will never go back to Chopstix.

If you go, be prepared for a major headache (from the service, not from the weak drinks). If you want a piano bar that won't let you down, check out 88 keys in Pioneer Square.

A little small, but heavy pours – My bridesmaids took me here for my bachelorette party and it was a pretty good time. It was a little small and crowded, but at least they had a dance floor. The piano players weren't skeezy with me like I've seen them do to bachelorettes at other piano bars, but the other bachelorette there that night took her shirt off of her own accord. It was also a Thursday night and I couldn't believe how big the crowd was that night. They clearly have a dedicated crowd that comes there often. People were very friendly, but that might have had something to do with the outrageous crown I had on my head. I thought the drinks were pretty strong, or at least a lot better than what I've had lately in Seattle. It is very loud, though, and almost impossible to hear your friends. A good place or a guys or girls night out but don't expect to talk to your friends much.

The MOST sobering experience – quite possibly one of the worst bars ive ever been to. I thought it was going to be a nice evening but the crowd was obnoxious and everyone was ugly. i had a lot to drink and the crowd kept sobering me up. cheap drinks. cheap place. cheers

Chopstix is not nearly as fun as it used to be. What happened to the crazy fun bartender that used to make out with all of my friends. I hear the people that run it are really cheap and what better way to save money than on pour cost. I read some of the other reviews and it's obvious that Dolce and Dustygirl are employees or friends or something cause the drinks are totally weak now. The guy that dances on the stage is pretty funny and I like how the piano players aren't money grubbing like other piano bars I've been to. The bar's not as cool without the crazy bartender, I used to get trashed for like 30 bucks and have a great time. Not as cool as it used to be.

Noisy, rowdy piano bar – I stopped in to Chopstix for the first time on a Saturay night. $7 cover and a fairly big crowd. The two pianists on duty were doing a good job of trading off songs, and the audience was mixed between paying attention to the music and shouting at each other. This is very much a mid 20's to mid 30's kind of crowd that does shots of strange colored things sold in plastic tubes and in plastic syringes. From what I could see, the waitresses were working hard, and I was particularly impressed that they had two additional pianists who took over from the first team without any break in the energy. This is a fun place to go, and to sing a long, but don't expect to have meaningful conversation with people, and if you are sensitive to noisy environments, probably not the place for you.
