WARNING!! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS~Crappy Service – Feb, 20012: Called on Wednesday asking for a service call for my Whirlpool Range. Said tyhey couldn't make it till Friday. Made the appointment on Friday sometime between 3 to 5 PM. great, had to take off work, lost half days pay. Come 5:00 PM no show, no call, nothing. I called them, so sorry tech had a busy day, he was in Chula Vista wiould be there by 6:00. Chula Vista? Really. At 5:30 they called and said the tech got anothert call, what about my appointment? So sorry. Said he for certain be here by 6:30 PM. By 6:50, no show, no call nothing. I called, same story, oh the tech is running behind let me check on his status.

No thanks, you suck! No concept of customer service. certain the tech would be unqualified anyway after this treatment. If you call these guys, don't expect any kind of service or help at all.

IF YOUR WARRANTY USES THESE GUYS, YOUR SCREWED! – Same story and 25JULY09 consumer.

My Maytag HE washing machine bites the dust after the manufacturers warranty expired (2 years) exactly 2 years and 2 months after purchase. Good thing I bought an extended warranty from the store!

Warranty work turned over to La Mesa Appliance.

About three days pass before tech can come to house for consultation (my description, not theirs) despite my giving them a FULL description of the problem and what trouble shooting was done; I knew EXACTLY what was broken and what parts needed ordered BY MAYTAG PART NUMBERS!

BTW, I have been a ships engineer for 24 years, so I know what I am doing.

"Tech" arrives, spends five minutes and declares bearing shot, need to order parts. Hmmmm, sounds familiar. Clock still ticking and no washing machine. To the laundromat we go!

After a week of waiting for parts, and calling the shop to try to get an update, the tech to returns. Of course, I need to take a day off from work because they do not work on Saturdays.

The techs arrive in the later part of the afternoon and spend two hours replacing about 60% worth of the total mechanical parts in the washing machine.

Techs declare completed, start the washer on a "short cycle to check for leaks, then leave.

Before short cycle even completed, a fault code comes up and shuts down the machine within 10 minutes of his leaving.

I immediately called the shop and request the tech to return, but am told the techs are "out of the area" and cannot return until next week or possibly the weekend (four days away). Weekend? I thought they said NO WEEKEND work!

I demand to talk to the manager/owner, and Bruce says the same thing and that it was now a "different" problem. I tell him it is still broken and he was paid to fix it. He continues to blow me off, so I quite arguing with the idiot and tell him I will deal directly with the warranty shop.

The warranty shop explains that they are sorry for my troubles and decided that it had cost so much in "repairs" that they would just refund my entire purchase. Meanwhile, I am stuck with a broken washer with LOTS of new parts in it.

This company has TERRIBLE customer service, and worse technicians.

STAY CLEAR! Especially if YOU are paying for the work vice your warranty service.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS – i had a simple problem - my reezer was working but not getting cold enough. Staying about 30 degrees.

Under warranty with LOWES - I called Lowes service plan and they connected me and said that they have turned it over to La Mesa Appliance.

It took 3 days for a call back from them, 1 day for someone to come onsite. The guy comes in puts a thermometer in the freeze and tells me the compressor went bad. Perhaps he was there 10 minutes. 2 days later the compressor comes in, a day and half later the guy shows up to install the compressor (7 days so far have gone by).

The Service tech (same guy) comes out doesn’t works for about 40 minutes then asks me for some tools!

He doesnt have the tools he needs to fix the probem then.. HE ASKS ME IF I HAVE A SPECIAL TOOL THAT ONLY FITS HIS RECHARGE TANKS! Where am I supposed to get those?

When we determine that I DON"T HAVE THE TOOLS HE NEEDS.. he leaves saying he just got this tank and wasnt given the part.

An hour and a half later... he shows up goes in the back, installs the compressor (maybe he found the tool and maybe he didnt) but 20 minutes later at 4:02pm he comes back and says, "It was a 3 hour job and its been 3 hours and he has it fixed". I will need to adjust the temperature in 24 hours.

16 hours later, I was looking at the water leaking from the unit all over the floor, I open it and there is no cold air what so ever in the unit and all of the contents are defrosting fast.

I call La Mesa Appliance because I think they would want to know this and send someone over right away. Boy was I mistaken!

I am told from the lady who answered the phone that the problem was that I didnt wait the 24 hours. I mentioned to her that 24 hours from the time their guy ran out of the door would have been after they were closed (on Saturday)) and that I was sure that they wanted them to know of this problem. So they could send someone out.

I was then told that

1. They won’t send anyone out to look at it for another 2 days because they are too busy. Wouldn’t you think if you had an unhappy customer with a problem that they caused that they would do whatever it took to fix it?

2. I then requested and spoke with the owner who said pretty much the same thing they were not responsible. The the problem could be something else!

IMANGINE THAT ... THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, TOOK 3 DAYS TO BRING OUT THE PART, DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS TO INSTALL IT, THEN LEAVE IT NOT WORKING AND 14 DAYS LATER THEY GIVE ME THE OLD ... WE CAN BE OUT THERE MONDAY.. TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. If not then I was on my own."

So now because of this, I have a big food loss of over $500, a freezer that doesn’t work yet, attitude from the repair company and, no one seems to want to help fix it even though they want to get paid.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!... DO LIKE I AM DOING AND NEVER NEVER USE THESE GUYS AND TELL ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS! IF YOU HAVE LOWES APPLIANCE REPAIR.. TELL THEM NO NO NO WHEN IT COMES TO LA MESA APPLIANCE.
